@clayto1332 i buy it by the pound to make my house smell nice, persian saffron, fresh, it cost me about $8,000 a pound fresh import

@clayto1332 my uncle was involved with a persian food industry. So supplies is not so expensive for us i guess, because of bulk purchases for a big factory making snacks. Im not wasting money on random stuff

saffron is very expensive, at a point it may just not be worth it. Taste it without thinking of it as luxurious, just a normal spice. IF you like it then keep buying it. But if you only like it for the huge price, don't buy anymore
