  • ........I haven’t had any calls as yet, but have done from other loved ones who’ve past over within months, (in my heart of hearts however, I know her soul's fine from harm on the otherside for some reason). She wrote a load of Christmas cards a week or two before she past and my dad past me mine this afternoon, just seeing her handwriting again from 7 months ago had my eyes watering – I’ll come back to this lovely piece of music when I open it on Saturday :) Love to you and all yours TC :) x

  • im 14...oh how i wish i could experience such 'real' music in my time today.. smt this is what i call music. Not men rapping about their money and the amount of hoes they've got.

  • @TomBrandon121 In the 60's I had a TEEN DANCELAND in a roller rink that I leased in Follansbee,W.va. I brought In Arthur Conley and he tor the place up. TheMojoMan*com

  • Flipping through the radio in the car, everything that I hear was just crap. I started getting mad, when I clicked to the oldies station JUST as this was coming on. I've always loved this song, and it was just the perfect timing. :)

  • Bunch of us white kids played this over and over at a party way back in ----welll quite a while back lol

Sweet song for a very soulful lady.

    R.I.P Mum x

  • @F1MMAnCITY what a lovely song to have played at a funeral , i lost my mum 9 years ago she was too young to be taken , i feel for your loss :-(

  • @kiddysoulgirl99 you're soo right it were so fitting, ...and definitely a brilliant mood-lifter for all. I'm really sorry to hear about your mum passed over so soon, take care mate - and thank you.

  • @kiddysoulgirl99 buildings burn and people die but love lassts forever

  • Thank you for posting, Its a wonderful song for you to remember your mom by... May she rest in peace and i hope it brings YOU peace whenever you hear it. God Bless you.

  • @F1MMAnCITY I made the decision to do the same at my funeral too!! Condolences to your Mum though--seeing that she loved soul music, I'm sure she was a real cool lady! :) Remember 2-things: 1) She's with our Blessed Holy Creator in perfect Peace, and 2) She'll probably let you know soon that she's alright over there in the Spirit Realm of the Heavens.

Luv & Bright Blessings to you and yours.

  • @FlysAtNightWoman Firstly thanks very much xx

Secondly please don’t tell me you’re leaving any time soon?

The song certainly brightened the room up (such a bright day for such a sad one), had my aunties dancing around in the chapel like they did :) Awww she was though, anyone who ever knew her thought the world of her, always helping others rather herself and like you say such a cool lady indeed, much like yourself by the sounds of it....

  • a great motown black soul hit!almost side by side with otis redding's 'mr.synical'.black soul music at it's best!

  • IT'S NOT NORTHERN SOUL. IT'S JUST SOUL.

  • @putsomething when i first started uploading songs i classed anything that use to get played at " northern soul nights " as northern soul .as you see on my latest uploads i dont put any tags on anything because of it being wrong in other peoples eyes ...

  • Hay Kiddy? Can you up load Brenton Wood's latest song: Give Me Some Kind Of

Sign Girl? Because, I've always wanted to hear it, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

It was 1966 when that song came out on old radio station: KGFJ. I know everybody

should remember that one. Sandra Dee Lawson.

  • great to hear this classic from the 60's....well done for posting ..top marks and fav.

  • @hungryherbie thanks for commenting herbie

  • Awww dude... I love this song. I wonder how it would sound if Bruce Springsteen covered a song like this during the 1980's. It would rock as much as this version did.

  • This is a classic recorded in a legendary and exciting time in the history of America and the world. I'm talking about the 1960's you guys! Rock and roll is here to stay!

  • I played a show with Arthur Conley when this song was out, playing guitar and directing the band. He was a nice man who told me if he'd met me a week I could have toured Europe with him. But no, I had to go back to high school and be abused by faculty and students alike. But I did get to play this song with him onstage, what a great memory!

  • @AlynDale619

ohhhhh what a wonderful memory for you ,at least you still have that ...

  • @kiddysoulgirl99

To me it's like an Olympic Medal. I played on Rick James Bustin Out of L7, same thing.

  • @AlynDale619 i bet it is , memories are very precious things

  • @AlynDale619 Nerd....

  • The sound of Muscle Shoals, AL. Good stuff.

  • someone obviously doesnt like good music

  • loved this in High School in NY we'd drive around and you could hear the radio volume go up in the tenement windows and girls dancing on the street to transistor radios when this came on

  • Yes, I like good music. That is why I am here on this song..awesome!

  • oh yeah what a song.if this dont get you going then your lost somewhere.great xxxxxxxxx

  • @redian1969 EXACTLY XXX

  • Oh yeah, oooh yeah

  • @tamarahndrsn :-)

  • I love songs like this one that list other artists and then do something in their style: "I Dig Rock & Roll Music" by Peter, Paul & Mary; "Jukebox Saturday Night" by Tex Beneke; "Guitar Jamboree" by Chris Spedding. Can anybody point me to a country-western example I can add to my playlist?

  • The best soul song I know...
