I hear comments saying that they stretch without warming up. They actually do conditional training there like running and standing meditation too. So I don't think they stretch without warming up I think they actually do warm up, its just edited out of the movie I think.
This academy looks like a scam... They ask for all the money up front, before you enter the school, put directly into their bank account. When i googled the address listed, it was for the train station. They also don't offer refunds for any reason. I'm not saying that it is a scam, but it looks very suspicious.
@sengoku17 Also, on Bullshido there was one guy saying there was a wudang acadamy in Wudang shan that was a scam, he went there and ended getting taught by other students, and the food was terrible, it might not be this one, but I'm suspicious of all of them now.
@buddy2000529 you cant go to the school directly with any transportation, you need to take the train which takes you close, then you walk up there fore there is no really address politically speaking, buts by the looks of it its on a high place. But money up front its for the living quarters that you get close by, you only pay for how long you stay like if you stay for one year then you dont have to pay like 150 dollars each month like ab karate, and you dont have to pay a amazing amount
of cash for a uniform, or wepons and sparring gear you wont really need. So you get what you pay with them. if you dont trust it just find a good school that doesn't require uniform, the school im at asks for 50 dollars but you don't have to pay right away just as soon as you can before they need to pay rent. No uniform no contracts no BS and the teacher doesn't do it for a living its his retirement hobby.
@808raised the school's name is Tien Shan Tzi temple of chinese martial arts. it used to be a website but the cost was too great so the sifu decided to just set up a facebook page for it with all info, it even has videos of the last years chinese new year performance, go to facebook and type Tien Shan Tzi, the photo you see will be the sifu's face, please reply if you can.
yoo you guys i attempted a 6 hour + stretch before for a couple of days.. . but i dont wanna risk anymore so any tips?? cause i see coments here saying too jog before stretching?? and im like wtf?? cause i never did that .. also im extremely flexible in the leg area.
yeer a slow jog and then speeded up, will warm the body as it would make your muscles more loose, dont jog and u will pulll a muscle, as your muscles will be tight =}
Hey man....I´m thinking about going there too....like a lot of other ppl I guess. Anyway, what happens if someone´s totally fresh? Yeah I mean completely totally fresh, no wushu whatsoever before. I know it might sound crazy but....I´m thinking that if I´m gonna start from scratch, then why not there? Any advice would be helpful. Also...could you tell me more about living there?
if u really want it, do it im a newb n im heading to a wudang school, you will be taught directly from the master unless you can speak chinese iv never done wushu only few karate classes but everything in kung fu is learned, natural ability means nothing if u work hard u will achieve.
Hey thanks man. Good to know! I´m an ex-Karateka myself...I have to admit I miss it cause I love most martial arts forms. Had to stop though cause of life changes. Anyway, I just wish it wasn´t so expensive, otherwise I´d gone for ´bout 6 months, seriously.
But tell me, how does one know that it´s worthwhile? I´ve heard some, maybe stupid, rumours about those schools just fooling westerners to make money. Heard there was a school in like every corner or somthin´?
@Khwaab thats a good question, for westerners i have found 2 schools that seem to get results the above and another school which i wont advertise on this video, if you can adjust to the lifestyle eg. hard training and long days far from home and have the commitment in your heart there are no limits to what you achieve. there are people there just to make money but the true masters will want to bring the best out of you rather than your wallet, its not cheap i know flights especially worry me:(

is the lack of coordination/uniformity something to be concerned of?
or does it really make no difference?
discipline?

@killthetaco It's good. It means that people can go at their own pace and not be worried about embarrassing themselves.

I love how all the Chinese guys are getting in splits no problem, then it pans to the Americans who look VERY uncomfortable.

Does anyone know if you have to do jogging before streching like that?
Klonsebia 2 years ago
Your body needs to be warmed up (sweating) for flexibility training.

you can't stretch like that if your muscles are not warm. Think of the muscles as rubber, the warmer the more flexible ;)
