the movie was pretty lame....but I would imagine a real eye opener for 1963, with all the gore. One thing I was always impressed by was the amazing color and definition in this film. It's almost like an early version of HD.

Despite not knowing a single word of Dutch, I thoroughly enjoyed this review, especially the rap at 2:36 and the bit at 4:55. Hilarious!

Blood Feast is good, but not as gory as I had heard. To much hype about the gore from people.

I think the hype for "Blood Feast" is probably mostly due to people being so amazed that a film of this type could've been made and *released* as early as 1963. If you put it in perspective, and look at it in the context of what was happening in horror films that year (and even a few years later), it's really quite shocking. I think H. G. Lewis was a pioneer.

I totally agree with you! I think everyone would agree that Blood Feast isn't a good movie in any way, but for me it is interesting from a historical point of view, and it provides a few good laughs too, of course! I agree that he was quite a pioneer.

haha, I agree on the bad acting! actually, It's Dutch, not German, but thanks anyway :D. The reason it's not in English is because my english isn't that good, but maybe I will, in a far future!
