Very clearly, Obama indeed did no such thing and Israel remains at large. I believe the expression fits: an entity dangerous to others, running unchecked and uncontrolled.
Israel is not the victim, it is the aggressor. Don't be stupid, it wouldn't take Iran attacking them to protect the palestinians, as long as their backs aren't covered by the West, they'll cower and straighten their act.

The relationship that America has with Israel should be on the table at ALL times. Why should Israel deserve a "hands off "approach ? If anything I think that taking a look at our unconditional support of Israel should be closely scrutinized. Israel has embarrassed the American people by continuing to ignore our demands that they withdraw from Gaza and that they discontinue building settlements in the OT. And we should withdraw taxpayer funded support is they do not comply..this is GOOD!

In tomorrows NYTimes Obama admin is said to fundamentally change the traditional policy of US support to Israel. This new policy change one year in to the presidency may pave the way for Iran to attack with "inofficial green light" from Obama and/or terror attacks on Israel. This fits with the suggestions made in 2008 by Jackson.

Good. Our country doesn't need an "influence." In fact, no lobby (that includes AIPAC) should be able to put price tags on our leaders. I respect the jewish people and think highly of them. They are good people as a whole.. But the government in Israel is getting corrupt. During the cold war Israel fought their own wars and dealt with their own problems because the United States had to keep their foreign policy centered on Europe and the far east.
