chagal's works recall some of those primitivists, their world child like perspective of the world, dreamlike reality, some kind of naive approach but here in chagal's case the strong accent of adult's insight into it with the childlike form. and those charming tunes i recognize so well matching the paintings. thanks Yael. i love this ss video. somehow sad and joyful in this special time here!

It is a constantly recurring theme in his work. My favorite paintings are "Fiddler" & "Self-portrait with seven fingers" but I love all his creations.
