  • Scott Van Pelt is right, Midwestern folks are so much nicer then those jerks on the east coast

  • @GoHokiEs19

I did my undergrad at UW and am currently at WVSOM for medical school. A bunch of my classmates went to VTech and, yes, they call it that. Blacksburg is 2 hours from us so we drove down for a few games this year. Did I go to VTech? No. Are they my favorite college football team? No. But to imply that I could not have gone to a game or *gasp* root for more than one football team is simply asinine. This is to be expected with the caliber of your posts.

  • ok this is nice and all, but the song itself is called "Jump Around". its cuing every person in the stadium to jump just by the title of the song and its lyrics. See, its better at Virginia Tech. You have a song called enter sandman, which has nothing to do with jumping at all, and yet, the people go nuts regardless. its like wisconsin has to encourage their whole stadium to jump around, while VT just does it regardless. Straight up, Enter Sandman is a better song and better in a CFB atmosphere

  • @Matteo323 totally uncalled for.

  • @Matteo323 FUCKED UP COMMENT. Do me a favor and shut your ignorant mouth mr. cunt.

  • vt better than this? you are smoking crack

  • @jeckster17 or maybe you are...wisconsin has to make shirts so everyone knows to jump around, as if the song wasn't clear enough...Hokie fans do it cuz they love the team, not cuz they're supposed to...btw it started in the 2000 season because some band members were freezing before the start of the game, not cuz people were trying to copy Wisconsin like the dude in the video said. And honestly, Ohio St "dotting the i" is better than Wisconsin fans being told to jump around.

  • I'm from Georgia and have seen both the Wisconsin jump around and the VT enter sandman and I have to say Wisconsin wins hands down.

  • all the virginia tech fags should shut up or they will have another massacre on their hands.

  • @TheChucky4664 great response...you're a scholar and a gentlemen...haha

  • @TheChucky4664 fucked up comment. You're one ignorant fuck you know that right?

  • @mrtinnbenn I don't think that they learned their lesson the first time they need another yellow bastard to flip out, hopefully next time 80-120 bodies will be on the Techies hands.

  • dude with the crutches was getting stupid loose

  • Get that Virginia Tech shit outta here. VT sucks.

  • 2:08 Dude is jumping while on CRUTCHES!! Mad props!

  • Are you serious?? VA enter sand man better? the badgers hockey team even does that better. Jump Around is the best tradition in college football, followed be the Wisconsin band 5th quarter, followed by anything else badger related!

  • Well i guess when you don't have a tradition of winning you have to make something up.

Just kidding. But in all seriousness this seems pretty awesome. From a Nebraska fan too.

  • Wisconsin Jump Around or smoke a joint backwards.

  • Can't say one is better between VT and Wisco traditions. They're just different.

  • I cannot put into words how much it pisses me off that references to another team's tradition are the top rated comments on this video.

    Wisconsin>Virginia

    Badgers>Hokies

    UW-Madison>VT

  • UNC Basketball can suck it.....just saying

  • @Packersrock2010 UNC basketball is better than whatever team you cheer for haha

  • UNC basketball is better

  • ENTER SANDMAN IS MUCH BETTER. ENTER SANDMAN IS NOT ONLY AN INTRO BUR DURING A BIG PLAY IN A BIG GAME LATE IN THE 4th QUARTER YOU CAN FEEL THE GROUND SHAKE.

  • @jtizzlei You can feel the ground shake in Camp Randall for Jump Around too! Cause it's not just the students. EVERYONE does it! Even the 80 year old's in the stands!

  • @jtizzlei everyone jumps in this too and you can feel the ground shake. it also makes sense that the song is the jump around

  • Why are Enter Sandman and Jump Around being compared? Enter Sandman is done during intro's. Jump Around is at the end of the 3rd Q. But if we're doing that, then NO, Jump Around is MUCH BETTER.

  • @uwlwsrpm NEGATIVE.

  • @jberkhimer POSITIVE.

  • they should do one of these about enter sandman at virginia tech

  • bunch of white folks in the video........

  • yea nothing agist WIS but VT enter sandman is "Kooler" sorry :)

  • As an intense Virginia Tech Fan, I must say this 'jump around' tradition at W is pretty sick but regardless of how biased my opinion may be, ENTER SANDMAN ENTRANCE WILL NEVER BE BEATEN BY ANY ENTRANCES IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL OR NATIONAL FOOTBALL FOR THAT MATTER. Go Hokies!

  • LOL @ the guy with crutches! 2:05

  • im the 6000 view....

  • @glmhurdler. VTech's isn't the best according to College GameDay. Congratulations!

Also, I've actually been to and experienced both--not just via YouTube. In addition, I'm a VTech fan too... I love me some David Wilson. :)

Jump Around is just a better In Game Tradition than Enter the Sandman. I'm not saying that it's not fun. However, the awesome spirit of camaraderie just isn't the same with Enter the Sandman. That has never given me chills while Jump Around never fails to.

  • @pedsmedstudent clearly you are not a VT fan. NO VT fan refers to the school as 'VTech', and NOBODY who is a fan of VT calls it "Enter the Sandman". EVERYONE KNOWS its called ENTER SANDMAN. This has gotta be a wisconsin poser or something

  • @visitjustin and glmhurdler. I was actually at Virginia Tech v. Miami! While really cool, it's so not the same thing. Jump around still wins, hands down.

  • @pedsmedstudent

    @visitjustin

    @OhDannnHD

not according to espns list... sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=feldman_bruce&id=3044646

  • Penn State+White Out+Zombie Nation=Greatest College Football Tradition its pure insanity

  • even being a michigan fan, i love this and what makes this tradition great is even when wisconsin is on the road, like when ive seen them at the big house, their fans take it amongst themselves to jump around before the 4th quarter with no music. great tradition

  • Virgina Tech's enter sandman is Really exciting to watch, But i think Since jump Around is at the end of the 3rd Quarter that gets the team more pumped to win, But I like Both of them either way!

  • @TheChicity123 yeah i can understand this, but when they play Enter Sandman during a timeout near the end of a game, in a high-pressure situation, Lane Stadium absolutely LOSES it. everyone, students and alum alike.. check this video out

    /watch?feature=player_embedded&v=blzftASduNc

  • @MrStUPnDuS247 yea i hear you i like both teams alot, Wisconsin is my school i route for in basketball and football, but i always go for Va tech to and i love enter sandman even when im just watching it i get all pumped.. i just watched the miami game last saturday and that was Just awsome!!!

  • I agree. This is good, but VA Tech rocks!

  • Enter Sandman at Virginia Tech is MUCH BETTER!!!

  • enter sandman at virginia tech is better... just saying ;)

  • @glmhurdler no way, wisconsin jumps because the song is "jump around". VT jumps for no reason. and there is no singing for VT, wisconsin shouts the lyrics.

  • @perfekkt1 you could hardly call them lyrics lol. its not like you guys are joining together in an uproarous singing of a song.. and who needs a reason to jump anyways. thats what you do when you get pumped and you dont have much space to do anything else. at least thats what its like with so many sell-out crowds at lane stadium

  • @glmhurdler Not really. That happened once. This happens every game. You have to have a close game to get loud, we do it every fucking game. On Wisconsin.

  • @OhDannnHD ummm happens every game at VT fool

  • @glmhurdler not at all

  • @monicapw Yeah specifically insult one person and the disabled cuz that makes you cool #immature

  • Only seen the jump around once on tv but they did the same thing in the church I went too. I have read several sports columns saying that should be one of the 'traditions' done away with. Evidently its not all its cracked up to be for visitors.

  • I wonder if there is any way to determine how much the Jump Around has cost in maintenance.

  • Jump Around is by far the best tradition - I've been at plenty of games where I have seen the opposing team Jumping Around on the sidelines - specifically Ohio State when we were destroying their #1 standing for the 2nd or 3rd time! And give me a break - the Ohio script - lame! Even Iowa's band can make a hawkeye on the field - spelling a 4 letter word doesn't take a lot of brain cells

  • @mkmoss2 so you're gonna say your tradition is the best while you throw everyone else's out? i've seen mentally handicapped people jump around like this at the special olympics including some of your family members.

  • I am a die hard michigan fan and even I have to admit jump around is just completely awesome to watch. I hope we nobody even attempts to copy it.

  • enter sandman at vt

  • Love the energy! But AUBURN's flight of the eagle prior to home games is beyond excellent! The amazing feat produces goose bumps for even the visiting team! WAR EAGLE!!

  • russel wilson = heisman winner

  • Uh oh.... someone's bitter that their team got spanked. I'm sorry if you bumped into some overzealous fans but I met several very rude Nebraska fans (including one who slapped a drink out of my hand and screamed "Real Big Red!" in my face) and you don't see me bad mouthing Nebraska.

Jump Around is one of the most amazing In-Game Experiences. Period. Yes, it's not the oldest tradition, but it's amazing. Every friend I've had come to a game agrees. See for yourself if you get the chance!

  • Sorry....Script OHIO is the greatest gameday tradition. I love Jump Around, but tradition is built over many years, not a decade.

  • A "tradition" that dates to the late 90s-six years after the album debuted, is led by a one hit wonder blared over loud speakers, & involves-get this-jumping around. Well, at least the drunks have enough direction to know what to do, so it fits Wisconsin perfectly...

  • Baaaaaaaaaa Na, Baaaaaaaaaa Na, Baaa Na, Baaa Na, Baaa Na, Baaa Na...In the Swamp, only Gators get out alive!

  • @offtheportbow And apparently the Crimson Tide.....just sayin!

  • THE BUCKEYE BOUNCE!!! The combination of Block O and The Best Damn Band in The Land makes the ultimate student section.

  • jump around for unc basketball way better

  • @theradishpickles Except it isn't. ON WISCONSIN!

  • Like Sandstorm at South Carolina

  • My cousin just moved to Madison from Iowa and him and his son went to the first Wisconsin game this year and said that this lives up to the hype it was one of the coolest things he ever experienced at a game he said.
