  • thats one angery tyco

  • can you tell me what scale is this i have n.scale 36 in by 9 feet and i just got done with it

  • @rockguy47 n scale is 1:160

  • wheres the graffiti on it

  • are you 12? or a 40 yr. old virgin?

  • WTF- No Graffiti on the box cars???

  • the train cars dont have grafitti

  • I lost my viriginity up against that train in 6th grade.

  • @MrBlemph what

  • @MrBlemph ,was it a part of our race,or did you venture out side the box ? (family pet)

  • Houston we have a problem

  • Very nice scenery!!!

  • bachmann?

  • Nice i have an Santa Fe SD45-2 like that.

  • Nice job!

Taken from just above standing view gives a realistic looking-up perspective.

    Love the detail.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think you need to clean your track and or wheels on your engines to get a more smooth run. Video shows your engines are in a jerking movement. Not sure if it's just the video or what.

  • i have this really cool boxcar that cleans the track. $45 @ hobby shop, havnt had a problem sence.

  • @Silver1Sprg I think it is the motor that does not have enough poles to run smooth at slow speed. The track is obviously ok because the power to the lights on the engine did not blink at all.

    I like the crossing action.

  • @expalman Good observation. I think your right.

  • Awesome!!! I love the sound on that Santa Fe unit.

  • Wow! I thought I saw a hornhook coupler or two in there! lol!!!

  • i have that old duch clener car

  • Cool SF and layout

  • i have the same kellogs hopper

  • The tycos tain looks like a commerical, wit all that product placement ! I'd weather up that thing and get rid of the Sanka, Kelllogs ect cars, I've never seen them in real. Paint em flat black or greay and ad some numbers. Of course they are proabably worth something on Ebay.

  • jhzab666 Cant even spell Tyco train! Paint them flat black?? Or grEay??

What kind of head injury are you suffering from?

  • Oh big deal, A couple typos ! Jeez get a life ! LOL

  • Me, get a life? You are the jerkoff complaining over this very nice Tyco layout! Jealous because it won't fit in your house trailer?

  • I'm not complaining, I'm offering advive. Just saying that the advertising cars don't look very real. And I dont have a house trailer idiot ! The layout looks very nice, just those old Tyco cars always looked toy like, I even thought so when I was a kid, I'm 44 now. I bet they may be worth something to someone as they are. Still a cool layout.

  • My Dad collects Tyco Trains. They do have an "too clean" and a commericial appearance. But, that is what they are, and some people do like them.

  • I wonder if Tyco made money from advertising for all those companies, or if thay had to pay for the rights to use the various companies logos, and such?

  • I understand that Tyco trains company was sold to Consolidated Foods Corparation in the 70s. I would guess that's where all the food & products cars were born....

  • Awesome!!!

  • That tyco sounds like its not a very happy camper.....

    Nice GP40X!

  • how mutch did that decoder cost?

  • Constructive criticism was stated here, nothing else. This is not about you and others you stupid liberal. I like this layout pinhead.

  • whats the model number for the gp40x?---i want one

  • Nice locomotive. Get rid of the Tyco and add some weathering and you will have something that looks real.

  • Has the thought crossed your mind, that this guy (an others) like Tyco??

That was a weak, negitve comment...

  • What kind of decoder is that???

  • It's an MRC decoder. I forget which model but it was cheap as new ($40) 2 years ago. I had to add an oval speaker for fit though, and that was another $10.

  • @spiderj76 I have one just like that

  • I have a Hogwarts Express set then got a amtrak train.nice job!!!!

  • The Tyco hoppers going by are so cool! I love the fairly rare Maxwell House and the Domino Hopper & Sanka are neat as well! I have alarge collection of Tyco train items and Life-Like buildings of the 70s, including the rere McDonalds kit. This clip is great!

  • Does the beacon on top of the cab flash on stock GP40X models? I mean does it work this way out of the box, or did you make it work? Thanks.

  • Good question, I honestly don't know if it comes that way or not since I immediately installed a decoder. The beacon is wired to the AUX light function on the decoder, which was preconfigured as a flasher. So that was pretty easy at least.

I'm actually inclined to say that it probably does NOT flash as stock (without a decoder), but it may light up.

  • Not bad for MRC sound.

  • great video

  • Not bad sound in em but if I were you I woulda got a Loksound decoder :D Thank god I have a Kodachrome version too

  • Well, the MRC has its limits but it the one it DIDN'T have, was fitting my budget ;) I wasn't too impressed with the LokSound on the PCM Reading T1... I mean it sounded OK but what's the big deal?

I have to get a decoder for my custom SD45, so I'll be shopping around...

  • Hey Spider76, are you the ebay seller that had the Tide Hopper repro on a while back? I would like to get a Tyco yellow Burlington Northern boxcar.... Great clip!

  • The Tide was my creation, but there will be no more. I actually had 3 yellow BNs at one time but recently sold the other two... they do turn up.

  • Spider,, the was a yellow BN boxcar on ebay ending January 6th. I forgot about it that evening and missed a last second bid.... Your Tide hopper is neat. Being a bodyman by trade, I could easily paint a Tide hopper, but have no knowledge on decal making...
