Eragon said "Brisingr" which means fire in the Al and is the title of the third book in the Inheritance cycle. Eragon did something in Brisingr to name the book brisingr and it has something to do with... Im not gonna tell you read it for yourself.

(provided you've read the book of course) the books were awesome, although not that original... worth the buy!

Plot Of eragon = plot of the star wars ( the books could easily be called "A New Hope" and "The Empire Strikes Back"

Dragon riders = Jedies. ( extinct warriors )

Brom = Yoda

Empire = Empire

Galbatorix = Emperor

Morzan = Darth Vader.

What really sucked about the book ( besides the lack of a good story ) is that he did not even create any races, he just took Tolkiens races and raped them. Rip off of the century.

When I went to see Eragon I was deeply disappointed with the overall fact that it was barely like the book at all. I mean, yes it is good to have some difference between the book and the movie but this movie went completely over the limit. It's like the dierector read the back of the book cover and said, "alright let's make a movie!" But the acting was good and the effects where nearly outstanding, so it was a good movie but I was expecting more of the features in the book to come alive.

eragon movie is really more easily relatable to Star Wars because:

1. both heroes were raised on farms

2. both heroes had to learn magic (or The Force in Luke's case).

3. Galbatorix is a dragon-riding suitless Darth Vader

4. both luke and eragon had to learn powers they didnt know they had

5. Old men (Brom and Obi-wan) were mentors to the two heroes.

actually, eragon is only remotely related to LOTR, simply because of the dwarves, Brom being a Dragon Rider version of Gandalf, the existance of elves, and Galbatorix being a Dragon Rider version of Sauron. other than that, they have nothing else in common.

i havn't got the game yet, but i loved the film, i thought it was amazing to be honest, at first i didnt want to even watch it... but im glad i did because it is just a great film, the affects are amazing, and the story is good also, reminds me a lot of lord of the rings, but i liked this more because i love dragons! =) so there is my opinion! a lot different to others i admit, most people dont seem to like eragon... dont see why!

i just hope there is a sequel!

The original movie had great effects, but ignored important parts in the book. In fact, I never even realized Eragon resembled Star Wars until I watched the movie.

A shame, too. Both the movie and the books had great potential, but both were ruined. The movie by not focussing on storyline and dissapointing fans, the book by how impossibly perfect Eragon became.
