@brywool nothing against pineda and augeri......but the post choice would have been waiting for Steve Perry. He was what made Journey, Journey in the first place. They weren't famous before him, so I dont see what gives them the right to move on without him....Not trying to offend anyone......but Perry....to me he was the voice of journey. Nothing will ever change that.

@HippyCat2913 - Perry WAS the voice of Journey. He no longer is or wants to be. In the meantime, Arnel Pineda is doing a helluva job. Journey's new album is excellent. Everybody misses Perry, but the fact is, the guy isn't going to sing again. It's been 15 years now. There's no reason that all the bands singers can't be appreciated for what they bring to the party. Just because one likes Augeri and Pineda (and I do) doesn't mean one can't like Perry. Not sure why people have that notion.

@brywool the thing is, that i wouldnt have a problem with it, If they sang their own style, like Jeff Scott Soto did when he was a touring member of Journey. Its just Perry's style of singing, being imitated by people with voices similar enough to sound good with the style. Its unoriginal. Sorry

I had the joy of seing them 3 times with Perry and 4 times with Augeri I loved every concert. Steve Augeri if you get this thanks for keeping the Journey going. I got to see them this summer Arnel and once again I was not disappointed

Not complaining about touring does not make you an awesome singer. It only means that you are not aware of your body limitations. And that's why this guy lost his voice. IMHO.

if Neal Schon hadn't been so much of a work-addict...then maybe Perry would've had his breaks in between albums and the band would've continued on longer than they did.

Yeah, Steve A sounds kinda raw here and must have been right before the replacement with JSS. Still like Steve A a bunch though. He held it toghether with Journey for 9 years. Good on ya Stevie A !!!
