Maloneycamfield, "Terror o/t Zygons rarely if ever appears on a "Top Ten" DW list, while "Pyramids..." , "Seeds..." and "Brain..." often do.

Personally I agree with you; clearly "Terror..." is a DW masterpiece.

I define a DW masterpiece as a story of excellent production, with writing so good that it can stand on its own, requiring no prior knowledge of DW for a new viewer.

I feel that all Season 13 serials meet that criteria & each story rates among the finest DW's of all time.

When a story as good as "Terror of the Zygons" is considered one of the "weaker" serials from Season 13, then Season 13 has to be incredible!

But up against such WHO masterpieces as "Pyramids of Mars", "Brain of Morbius" and "Seeds of Doom", even great stories like this, and "Planet of Evil" are often overlooked!

Is it considered one of the weaker serials? I've always put it on a par with Seeds of Doom, since they have so much in common. I've even wondered whether they will come out in a DVD box set together.

An eerie, coldly atmospheric scene with a beautiful score. It could have easily have come from a feature film - can't wait for the DVD.
