Fucking ugly piece of shit if you ask me..... Honda owners where i live where always more arrogant then ferrari owners. Just fucking great now they are going to think they shit ice cream cones...
@hatamakoto balancing performance and mpg...made the crx a great car.....the cr-z will offer great mpg while offering worlds better safety..and a slick shifting 6 speed manual
@coandcaiv The car has no sports car like performance. Rather just buy a standard manual civic with same performance, with cheaper price. The car's like Scion tC got looks but inside it just a toyota camry, looks sells.
@hatamakoto its not meant to be a "sports car"...you have to pay $50 to get a sports car....cr-z's are sporty fun to drive cars...that give you 35+ miles to the gallon ..reliability and a slice of the old crx heritage that alot of people loved back in the day.....a modern civic doesnt hold that appeal
@coandcaiv wow it cost $50k for a sports car? I don't know where you from, I don't think you know cars alot. Average sports cars cost $35k that's about price of nissan 370Z, chev camaro, mustang GT. For 20k you can buy a civic si which is sports compact, and cheaper you can buy a mazda miata mx5 which is lot more fun than a heavy slow hybrid. Than CRZ shouldn't even call a sports hybrid in first place than, its slow, and its heavy. It just another hybrid car. Have you even driven a sports car?
@hatamakoto 50,000 for a sports car....stop confusing a sporty car with a sports car....a honda prelude is a sporty car.....a bmw 3 is a sports car.....get what im saying?
A sporty car is like Scion tC, it has looks of sports car, but the performance and handling are crap. Crz are same thing, a six speed civic hybrid with a remoded shell of crx. Why if you think adding a six speed a hybrid is good, than why not add it on prius with a new shell, and call it the New Celica, I bet you love that poptar box. And there's sports cars under $50k, don't compare a prelude, and I didn't metion prelude. I mention civic si a sports compact, not sports car.
@coandcaiv Well, no but I have driven other hybrids, I'm telling you the car will suck. I'll shelter your grapes from evil? Please this is internet, not a shakespeare class.
Well if it isnt the CRZ me and my brother hopefully will get the chance to be one of the 1st to drive this around Europe from live every litter :) we will know by the 12th of April so hears hopping :D we are goina take this car round the Nuremberg race track and really see what its capable of. look out for the documentary soon and its done by Honda so its not just us going about with a camera and they will provide the crz aswell :)
Fifth Gear, check your crib sheets -- it's been rated by Honda to get around 33-34 mpg, not 55+ (which, incidentally, is the figure for 34 mpg converted to km/gal).
You alluded to a good point, though. If it's not efficient enough to appeal to the greenies, and not fast enough to appeal to the racers, then who's left to buy it?
@OneOfOne My guess is because Honda killed the Integra in 05/06 and limits its hatchback models mostly for Europe and Japan. This car as a 2-door hatchback would fill the gap because there are none in the U.S. market.
fart can will be available in your local muffler shop seconds after release. Sniping hubcaps and NOS stickers already on sale at your local parts store.
@FrankinStoner Why would the aftermarket even touch it? I don't see how this car would appeal to most tuning companies. Wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them made a riced out body kit. As a first impression, it seems pretty much useless.
What a pile of SHIT, and to think this is the company that bought us one of the best FWD sports cars ever made (Integra Type R) to mention but a few of the brilliant sports bread cars they've produced. This is practically and insult to their own heritage.
Not the biggest fan of hybrids or electric cars in general but if thats the way the world is going then so be it, but can they at least make one that looks like a normal car, not a spaceship.
I hope car companies get hybrids out of their systems and very soon! They are completely useless if you want to save fuel, this cr-z does 56mpg, a scirocco diesel will do that for less money, and less (supposed) harm to the environment! Hybrids are more environmentally damaging than a V8 Range Rover! Pointless machines!
from the front it looks like a combination of alot of different cars. Auris, 'kinetic' designed fiesta, and an Audi. where as at the rear it looks like a Citoren C4 coupe.
not the handdsomest car to come out of Honda IMO. it has a very weird, and not very athletic stance.
CRX is faster better MPG and not a hybrid. ummm

The 1.5 VTEC enigne is not that poor as you might think. I have i in the much heavier '97 Civic 5 door liftback, and it's far from slow.
In a smaller car combined with an electro engine, this might give performance comparable tot the '98 VTi Civics ;)
