Sutcliffe was eliminated a dozen times because his blood group didnt match the Ripper's blood taken from semen and saliva on the bites on his victims breasts.
It was known that there was a copycat killer who had committed at least two of the killings and all the assaults. He was well known to them and his image matched many of the victims of his assaults which were not included in the ripper frame at that time prior to his conviction. When he was arrested in Sheffield the media got wind of it and they were rushed into doing a deal with this copycat killer.

not being picky, but it's kind of a habit; he pronouced 'yorkshire'.. the phonetic pronuciation is: "york" - "sher", or that's how we say it in the NW of england ;(

The Ripper didnt hate prostitutes. That was a police lie. He hated the police and was winding them up by murdering the vulnerable prostitutes and writing letters to them. The Ripper together with the police knew that there was a copycat killer performing some murders and he started writing letters to the police in order to take credit for the copycat killer's first murder of Jean Jordan in Manchester. Once that was included by the police it roped the copycat Sutcliffe into the frame.

The victim you refer to was Helen Rytka and if you read Sutcliffe's statement of how he killed her you will realise that its just a load of crap totally out of touch with the hard facts on record.

Newton Lodge is an unofficial annexe of Wakefield Prison, so yes it could be there. Makes sense if the authorities are considering accompanied day release as it's West Yorkshire. When i lived in Wakefield the nut house was Stanley Royd and Fieldhead was the hospital for the mentally handicapped, but that was in the 1980's. One things for sure, he will be unrecognisable in society as any freedom will be closely monitored by the Government.
