The idea of a worm hole is that if a black hole were to bend space time so much it reconnected to our universe it would have an "exit". This exit is called a white hole. So the idea of a white hole and a worm hole go hand-in-hand. Into black hole out of white.

@dvh065 Don't misunderstand the information. "Matter appear from nowhere" no, we've only been able to trace the big bag back to 1 million-billion-billionth of a second after the initial bang. but we cant see where it originated from of what it was. we only know it theoretically was a singularity right after it started. Don't confuse that with "matter from nowhere." It's all crazy interesting stuff though. i hope you stay into it, for the good of our later generations.

These things are amazing. Picture it... Who knows if any other life forms out there may have already perfected light travel? Perhaps some may be much more advanced than we are, and might have already discovered a couple of interesting things ;) I believe it´s perfectly possible that if we ever get contacted by advanced civilization, they may help us travel to their planet for future "analysis" Watch the movie "Contact" the possibilities presented in it are incredibly realistic.

ATTENTION!!! Starting from 2:30 till the end of the video, it shows two planes, obviously parallel to each other. Looking at the image shown, wouldn't there be two universes? If their were, then hypothetically when two black holes meet, they would create a wormhole, not transporting you to another place in the current universe, but in the opposite. Hence, space travel. AND -- a white hole would theoretically be spewing matter, since a black hole sucks it in. Right?

@ERICx223 or we could assume that the two planes arent parrallel but actually spherical(assuming the universe isnt a flat plane infinitely expanding but actually the shape of a sphere).....so its still possible to space-time travel within the same universe without having to go to another parrallel dimension or somthing...kinda think of it like this....if i created a hole in america that went right through the earth and jumped in... i would go straight through and come out of china

@ERICx223 Please refine your knowledge about physics and blackholes. Nobody can draw a real curvature of 3 dimentional space and 4 dimensional space time and show you how it looks. They just show a representation in 2D. You should be able to imagine once you really study the concept thoroughly.
