Absolutely delighted to see this posted! Clara Haskil's Mozart conceros were always (and always will be) unsurpassable, IMO...I can't think of another recording of K. 491 I like as much (even though Markevitch is perhaps a bit bombastic at times!) Haskil's Mozart is perfection itself--elegant, poised, eloquent in a supremely Mozartian understated way--"olympian", I think it has been called. Styles of playing Mozart may come and go, but to me Haskil's will always be timeless.
