  • wow!!!Beautiful!!!

  • my only concern is with the two extra electric motors in the front it may get nose heavy.

i think they should move that dual mode tranmission to the back.

  • or is this a micro-hybrid ? i am confused now.

  • @g1981c In a sense it is, its not a full hybrid car as it only really uses up the hybrid energy on kick down mode where it provides a powerful torque boost to accelerate this large and heavy car to 60 in 4.5 seconds :O the car does have start stop and powers the abundance of electronics from recovered energy in the battery. this is no ordinary prius.

  • so first they take a V8 that in itself could move the car, then they add a pair of turbos and then they add a pair of electric motors.

maybe i am just greedy, but i like this philosophy !

  • I agree with Kmi187, they'll always make a gasoline engine, but I think it's time that new technology and innovations are made in the field of automotives. These hybrids are the first step to creating longer lasting, sustainable and more reliable electric technologies in cars.

  • It's nothing else than KERS ... they took that stuff for their F1 car and put it in their 7 series and called it Active Hybrid

  • Because they can? Honestly they'll be making the classic fossil fuel burning variety for quite some time. Just because they make a hybrid doesn't mean you have to buy it.

And what's wrong with "gay"? You are using the word as if there's something wrong with being gay.

  • @kmi187 "gay" = new word for lame for the youngins.

  • bmw like to technologically challenge themselves for fun
