Very awesome project. Where did you get the dimensions for the blades? I've been trying to make an iris diaphragm with no avail. Could you give me the dimensions of your project or get me in the right direction to making one?
@Aerospacesmith I just made up the blade dimensions. (You can rotate things in illustrator to try different shapes.) I don't think you want to use my dimensions exactly. (I designed this to not close all the way, so the blades would have to be a bit thicker to support closing all the way without there being small triangular gaps around the outside. My inner ring size is 4" and the blades are 5/8" wide, but you'd want slightly wider to support full closure. Good Luck!
