In terms of her achievements as a racehorse, as contrived as they were by her owners, I would rate her behind Goldikova & def Markava. & probably behind Makybe Diva as well (won 3 Melb Cups). But there is 1 thing for sure. It'll be a long time b4 another horse captures the imagination like Zen did. I thought it was a load of hype. But in the last 2F of the BCC I became a believer. She went past some multi G1 winners like they were tied to the fence. The best swooper I've ever seen. JMO.

Thats a terrible thing to say about the stallion. My friends are friends with Albert Stall, and visited him when he had just been shipped to Claiborne. They said he had a bubbly personality, and was as conscious of his greatness as Zenyatta. Showing off, galloping, and rolling for them. He just didn't do her little nervous "Moves"

Zenyatta -Sadly- Will be remembered as the horse that could have done more. But didn't. Thanks to her connections who rarely shipped her from California.

Those 13 G1s are a bit inflated. Look at Goldikova, she wasn't undefeated but was never raced restrictedly. That is why she is ranked higher than Zenyatta on the World Thoroughbred Rankings. Like I said, no one is doubting her ability. But she just didn't get to show it. -Against real racing talent-

If im being honest i was always i the Rachel Alexandra corner until last years Breeders Cup Classic. The way she runs on the final straight is probably something we will not see again for decades if ever. I hope they change their mind about retirement as she is so much better than the competition. So conections...please win it next year and then retire her and make a film about her career. Ill sure be queing up at the cinema to watch it. It will make the story of this horse unbeatable!!

This video is absolutely brilliant. really captures what the horse means to people. It was an amazing run and she lost off the back of a misjudged ride. But fair dos to Blame who ran so well too. Unfortunatley there are so many times in racing when it's "just one more stride" and she loses nothing in defeat.
