Many of the shooters at Dry Creek and Big Sandy observe true shooter trigger control. However, sitting with a camera down low, covering someone doing single shots on an M2HB is awkward. Taking 45 minutes to use a 50 round belt is hard to edit along with MAC11 magazine dumps. The pace is too slow for video clips. So they ramp it up a bit for the camera and I edit it down to appear as if it's constant shooting. Most of the abused guns are post May.
@lanetxgp1 for example at 5:25, that hk21, we had 5 barrels for it. We only ran 140 round belts tho and the rule was.. once you pull the trigger, you dont let go till its done. Especially on camera! That is me at 1:23 with the mp5k. R.I.P. RKM
i bet they shell and that place is probably a private range so see gun folks help save the envirment because otherwise they would have nothing to shoot at
Lol, that guy at 2:24 wants to shoot his sniper rifle, when that guy next to him starts to shoot his .30 cal, and that sniper guy is thinking: damned, just be quiet plz!
I remember Ed shooting that in his rain poncho, but since it was Arizona in August, it was only rainy, not cold. Humid 31 Celsius during the so-called summer monsoons. Normally a very dry hot state in the U.S. - August can be rainy for a few minutes. Then it's back to hot. We only see 11 inches of rain each year on average.
Dry Creek turned into MG Shooters who now produce the Big Sandy shoot twice a year. They just had the March 2009 shoot. The next one is 16-17-18 OCT 2009. If you check out the video I posted "MG Shooters 2005" the video details list a website for more info and many photos.
Destructive devices like artillery and mortars can still be had as can grenade launchers and flame throwers. The 'HE' projectiles or rounds are very hard to come by for liability reasons, but can also be had. Unfortunately, each would require a $200 transfer tax. So most use inert practice rounds which can be less dramatic. But practice artillery is still quite fun.
WW1 water cooled belt feds are the more reasonably priced weapons going. In more demand are the air cooled modern rigs. But for sustained fire, water cooled are the way to go. In the USA, you can still own automatics after a simple background check, finger printing, local law enforcement sign off and a federal tax of $200 per weapon.
I would love to go to one of these and shoot in peace with out having to deal with racist sister fucken niece molesting trailer park rednecks who drink pepto bismol. Can anyone give me details on this place?
This shoot had it's last in 2003. I hear there is still a small group that goes out to SP Crater, north of Flagstaff, AZ and has a shoot for old times sake- August. But the whole thing was moved to private 600 acre plot surrounded by BLM land- hosted by MG Shooters LLC. They call it the Big Sandy Shoot. Check out mgshooters . com - Two shoots a year, on in March the other in October. Held near Wikieup AZ. - Mapquest that.
No im in the midwest, but i'd make a road trip for that type of thing. But do these things have a bunch of ignorant people? And i think anyone reading this knows what i mean. Big guns + shooting = _What_ - im from a city with multinational type of people, and i think me and some friends would love to do this. Just looken for some feedback
Yes. There are many machine-gun shoots in the USA today. Most have some type of rental system on a few, select weapons. The price is usually per round or magazine, gun rental+ammo. For southwest shoots, MG Shooters took over the Dry Creek event and runs about 60 cents per round for 30 CAL belt feds and 20 bucks for a magazine. The 50 Cal is 3 bucks a shot. mgshooters dot com
If anyone wants to invade The US we could hold them off at Dry creek with all the guns and anti tank guns lol were is dry creek ayn way California Nevada were??
Dry Creek was the name of the event organizers. After 2003, DC dissolved into MG Shooters and continues to hold shoots in Northern AZ, USA. This 2003 shoot was in August about an hour north and east of Flagstaff, off 89 in the cinder cone fields. MG Shooters holds current shoots open to the public near Wikieup, AZ. mgshooters dot com.
As I understood it, dated back to pre 1968 and the reactionary Gun Control Act (GCA 1968) passed after the Kennedy murders. There was quite a thriving artillery hobby before "sporting purpose" was used as a qualifier for privately owned, imported munitions. Of course the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting, it's about deadly force against human aggressors.
Shooting the artillery is expensive. These are all privately owned, not government backed, or company funded. They are mostly hand loaded, but some have case lots of practice ammo. It's true that 95 percent of the rounds are just lead projos. But there was one shooter who had HE. Each round carried an NFA DD tax. It was challenging to get video of the HE detonating and impossible to get the report which was nearly a mile away.
Because only a few rounds are fired at each event, it is difficult to gather enough video to fill out a full DVD. But a quick YouTube edit of just weapons over 50 cal might be possible. A few new shoots are coming up out here in the US west. I heard rumor of an 8" gun. We might wait for that.
Let's see. In 5 years with 2 wars occupying 2 countries, the US dead are just over 3000. In the same time the "couple sand niggers" have low estimates of 1.5 million dead, and high estimates of over 2 million dead. Pretty good odds if you ask me. I'd be curuios to see what the death rate in say DC was during that same 5 year period
most of thoes killed wer civilians..people with no guns. i gusss you can count thoes into the death count its not hard to kill some one with no gun that didnt see it comin...
The Repulican Guard are not civilians. I dare any country ever to show the restraint the US has toward any enemy. If the shoes were on the other foot, and Iraq invaded the US, millions would be dead in the name of Allah. Canada would be nuked, as much of the rest of western civilization. Those towel heads have no sense of direction. So strong are their beliefs yet they don't have a clue what the believe in.

Where do you get your history lessons from? Slaves? Did you see any blacks? By the way Americans freed the slaves themselves. I don't know many "retards" that could afford any of those guns. To own a transferable one you need $200 to begin with. Most retards like yourself spend that on crack that the government took my taxes to give to you because your worthless and offer nothing to society except complaints because you wern't invited.

Love the parts showing the artillery pieces... you should do a whole video just on the arty.
Where do they get ammunition for those? Are they all handloaded? I assume they just fire lead slugs instead of actual HE rounds...
