Light bulb (theoretically) implode rather than explode...The pressure inside the bulb is less than that of our atmosphere therefore an implosion should occur.

That's not how it's done. Without giving away the secret, all I can say is that they are definitely selling you a physical object along with instructions. They wouldn't charge you close to forty bucks for a slip of paper that said: "squeeze the metal part really hard".

First off, at 50 bucks, that guy got ripped off since you can find that trick online for about 10 - 20 bucks (marketed as the hummingbird card / UFO card) . In fact, I bought that trick from a touristy shop in Vegas back in the mid 90's and I don't think it cost me more than $30 or $40. Secondly, he still got a set of gimmick materials with the instructions so my point about them not just selling a slip of paper saying "squeeze the bulb" still stands. This trick requires a gimmick.

Yes, two facts. If you had decent reading comprehension you would have seen them. The first being that the guy you saw pay $50 for a cut rate version of the "hummingbird" or "UFO" card trick with no real instructions overpaid. The latter being that your example proved my original point since he got a gimmick set and not just basic instructions, just as I had stated that this bulb trick uses a gimmick and isn't just "a slip of paper that said: 'squeeze the metal part really hard'".
