I have an electric kit and acoustic. It is alot easier to record on an electric because all the sounds are preset and you can just run and export USB or FireWire to your computer. You don't have to worry about the mix or mic placement or phasing.

@Jeepliest Surprisingly, its more difficult to play on an electric kit. The cymbals lightly pull on your cymbals. Lets not forget how well the audio came out.

I sold my kit, but I believe that It was the t2 and t4 on the toms. I used a deep shell. Thanks for the comments. What church do you play at?

Great chops. You are blessed w/ talent, i play a roland td-12 @ church. Been tweaking 'em for a year trying to find just the right sound. Your toms sound great. Do you mind telling me the settings? Sounds something like a maple t2 & t3 w/ maybe a 2 tape muffle & some ambiance?? Do you use normal shell or deep shell? I am using maple t1,2,3 deep shell but tighter head (+20) for some depth. Can't use any so call ambiance (reverb). Concrete bldg is nasty resonant chamber @ around 499mhz

Hey you did an amazing cover. Keep up the work and drumming. I like the fact that this song has so much meaning and that you yourself get's "chocked up everytime you hear this song" Its the same for me. @TheCameronn You can be that good and better. The only thing that is stopping you from achieving it is you! Every time I play I ask God to bring out the best in me and find myself doing the impossible whenever I perform a song on the drums myself. Ask God to lead you and just take over and he will. But there is one important thing left: Practice! Keep practicing until you got it. I am not that of a good drummer but I do it for God's Honor and Praise.

dude, u played awesome, that is exactly how i play in my youth. i dont play with the that three/thirds beat or whatever. haha. i play with this beat nice... but i dont quite use the toms as much though ha.

I have a roland v-drum kit. That black pad is my auxillary snare attached to my hihat stand. The drum where my snare is, is my normal snare.
