My friend had the same problem with her car.... the radio code or something... I thought it was kinda stupid to put a "security" code on a radio... who cares!!! Anyways, she didn't have all the papers you had so we had to try like EVERY code that could possibly work before we found the good one... it took like 2 weeks ... that was long! :P

You got lucky. I have a Honda as well. My battery died one day blah blah blah. However, I bought mine used and I apparently had bad previous users because I had no code. It was nowhere to be found. I had no radio for like two months! I finally than decided to go to the dealership to see what could be done. Wasn't sounding good, but they tried a code and thank God it worked! haha.

That 5 digit radio code is garbage. The radio is still stolen, it's not like they're going to bring it back. It's more of a ploy for the companies to get you to buy another radio and make the burglar buy the radio also. He stole it fair and square, it should be his now.

dude you were lucky you had a card. i just bought a honda that needed a code too and had to look everywhere for it. honda hides code stickers on ashtrays,glovebox,trunk,etc but mine was nowhere so u gotta take the radio out and look on the back of it for the serial # and call honda for the code.

The stereo in my SAAB 9-3 from 2002 is just way to intergrated into the car.

It´s also "hooked up" to the cars computer and only works with THAT computer.

So if you finally managed to take out the radio, it wont work in another car.
