  • woopz it was DEFINITELY you hahaha, making mini bombs and electricity in our own backyard, forget solar panels, we can power the world with plasma balls, microwaves and GRAPES! >:D

  • doesn't that give off radiation?

  • fags

  • well....? i know he didnt discover this or "come up wif this"

  • can do the same thing with your average house spiders lol convert those creepy 8-leg bastards into energy ^-^

  • You only need carbon. Try to use a graphit stick under a glas.

What burns is the carbon dust which gets excited from the microwave.

Use thin glas cause that wont burst when it gets hot. Or use glas with Borosilicate.

It is rather useless to experiment if you don`t understand what is going on...take some temp. messurements at least ;)

  • that was definitely not the best

  • LOL! Looks like mini nukes going off.

  • you sick son of a......jk.... :D

  • ...the "magic of science"...

  • Impressive concept! Do not breath the gasses! NH2!

  • ok..... but one thing, if it was plasma it melt the glass and baisicly you whole microwave.

cause plasma get to about 1,000,000 degrees and beyond 3,000,000. so its not really plasma.

  • Plasma is not difficult to make. In fact, the temperature needed to obtain a plasma in air is far below 1000000 degrees. This IS plasma !!

  • wat ever it dosnt matter if it is or not still pretty cool

  • ya. its not plasma in the sence of like acid like. plasma is neutrons being ripped apart off an atom and thats what happened. plasma isnt always destructive.

  • ok, youre a moron, plasma is partially ionized gas. when the electons fall back into the orbitals of the cations, they emit light radiation, which is what you see in the video. what youre describing is nuclear radiation....beta decay is an atom's nucleus losing a helium nucleus, two nuetrons and two protons.

  • woah you know your shit

  • more like he knows his way around the internet

  • Average school-level knowledge in the good countries. :P

  • What? He's a nerd because he knows more about chemistry and physics than you? Go to hell ya simpleton.

  • You're getting your alpha and beta decays mixed up.

  • @battlefeildrecruit You have plasma in orndernary fires! For god's sake, know something about the things you choose to speak about here! LOL @ Ya!

  • That buzzing sound and the odd smell are proof that it IS plasma.

The whir is plasma resonance and the smell is ozone and nitrogen dioxide. You don't create those with a simple flame.

  • Is that the same smell you sometimes find at the dodgem/bumper cars in the fairground?

  • -Explodes-

SEE? THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!

  • are you my /b/rother?

  • Rules 1 & 2 Newfag.

  • what are you referring to? and what is a new fag?

  • keep it on the /b/

  • what is this /b/?

  • You've got to be shitting me

  • The cancer has spread to YT.

  • hahahahahahaha

  • Are U Two A Couple??? Lmao.

  • wow...this video set up a way longer argument of "plasma vs. not plasma" than i ever thought. But NO, it is not plasma. Plasma can only be produced stablely at extremely high temperatures. not possible with a puny microwave.

  • yes it is plasma as such, it is ionized gas. its essentially an electric arc, no plasma dosent necessarily require high temperatures

  • put a light bulb in the microwave easy as that

  • 0:50 Kenny!

  • Weak, try using a jar that's shaped as a sphere and set up the match or what ever your using at an angle. Try to get the plasma to spin around the jar to form a ball, when done right the plasma will stay in the center of the jar in the shape of a ball with out touching the glass. Keep up the science. Also I found cig butts work very well. With earth magnets you can do this with out a microwave to.

  • Explain 2 me the magnet process 2 do this. Please

  • the grape ones are better

  • They would make hot homo love.

  • Title is misleading...

  • true and i think these guys might be a little homo

  • people probably thought of it before you im pretty sure

  • your microwave is a retard, the other plasma videos i've seen were like- omgggggggg kame ha meh haaaaaaaaaa!!!!

    fhuaihfshfikdshufikhsfikueshfuShuishfkiusehuik

    vgfhesuifhsidfhiufhuiewiufewui

    lololololololololololololololol

  • Plasma is ionized gas, well, very very unstable, basically a mosh pit of electrons.

    It's not hard to make.

So don't freak out on him matee.

  • yep :D Just a high temperature ionized gas :) The most abundant element in the universe haha. Lol, I like your "mosh pit" of electrons metaphor, it suits plasma well :P

  • its really hot, like the sun, boral aureas, stars, etc plasma made all elements of the periodic table

  • im pretty sure all you made was a fireball. no plasma though.

  • it was plasma0.o

  • Did you know if you put frenchfries in the microwave for 30 seconds and take them out, they are warmer

    just dont understand.

  • pretty cool!

  • u probely opened the microwave and got 5 different forms of cancer at once

  • like the cancer that makes you spell like a fucking retard?

  • ohhh liki my speling? Look up Cryptology and you'll never call some one a dumb ass again for shiiiiitt liiiikkkeeee thiiizzzzz again. Infact you'll realize how fucking stuuuppiiiuidd you are. Just trying to help with Cryptology you can take control of peoples minds.......

((+7+))... -- -.-.[-]79+}}} I just said the worlds history with that crypto, nah joking. But you really could. If you wanted to.

  • you are a dumb ass for a lot of reasons, no need to bother with your spelling

  • you are a dumb ass for a lot of reasons, no need to bother with your spelling

  • ive seen better

  • next time , film it better i couldnt see stuff

  • why best?

  • I WANNA TOUCH IT (^_^)

  • i think that tis 1 was unstabel

  • My friend did something like this, but he put aluminum foil at the match's base, which causes the same effect as this just about

  • My friend did something like this, but he put aluminum foil at the match's base, which causes the same effect as this just about

  • this isnt the best on ive seen

  • oance i put a rubber ball inside to see if it melts...after 15 seconds it fucking bursted into light and scared the crap out of me>>>after like 2 sec I opened the microwave and it was at room temperature

  • awesome! now turn it into a light saber and i will totally buy it

  • very,VERY bad things. there eyes would explode if they were in the room xD.

  • entre la gilipollez que hacen y la cara de paletos que tienen forman un equipo guay que se merece un pin por subnormales jaja

vamos, que os veo por la calle y os parto la cara hasta el amanecer XDDD

  • if someone found a way to make a microwave work without the door what would happen?,

  • the microwaves would superheat your organs. Small short exposures probably won't do anything though.

  • Microwaves work by heating up the water inside of an object, and since your body is about 70% water... you figure it out.

  • plasmas only an ionized gas wich anymetal can become at high enough tempatures so if you vaporized steel and radiated it it could posibly become plasma so ya it was plasma

  • look up cold plasma!

  • dude technicaly this ain't plasma.you broght metal into the picture.plasma does not work with metal.all that is is hot gas from the metal.due to the heat.the reason why you got unstable plasma.use a match or a grape works best

  • dude its still plasma

  • no thats technocaly floresent lighting.plasma is a non metalic substance.add metal toplasma you have floresent light.unstable it it aint contained.the reason why they didn't get a full plasma ball.

  • what are you talking about? Plasma is a state of matter, like solid, liquid or gas. Theoretically, any metal could also become a plasma if the correct procedure were followed. Also, water is a non-metallic substance, but just by adding a paper clip, does that make it something else? no! I fail to see what physical or chemical reaction occurs when plasma is added to metal. And another thing, the metal wasn't added to the plasma, it was the source.

  • metal is not a source of plasma.plasma is eletricaly inclinded to absorb the eletric radiation.not if you break down a flouresent light you will find its a cold gas thats produced by moisture and metal and adding eletricity.this is flouresent gas not plasma.plasma is a gas that ignites from being super heated.flouresent is ignited from metal and moister.thus not plasma

  • yes, as soon as it ignites it becomes plasma. Go break one open while it's on.

  • .the metal is actin as the eletrical current in the gas.proving that this is not plasma

  • an electrical current in a gas IS plasma.

  • no an eletrical current in gas is flouresent.plasma is a gas that creates its own eletrical current using smashing atoms and changing molicules.that is plasma what this is is floursent gas.the metal changes the gas to a lighter mass but heavyier density than plasma..........

  • search this.Microwave Plasma 2.this is real plasma see how it stays together?this plasma doesn't stay together its called flouresent.cold gas ignited by moistur and metal+eletricity

  • you guys werent the first ones to thin up the microwave plasma ball

  • gupters

  • wtf phyoomz? gotta say that cuz they know more than you? think before you speak, dude

  • actually, i learned that it is in fact not plasma. When you heat up the metal, the microwaves free the delocalized electrons found in most metals. the ball of heat and light is a big cloud of free electrons reacting with the air. this produces a LOT of heat (sometimes the glass slightly melts on the inside) and light. the electrons also mess with the air and produce NO2, a poisonous gas. have fun! dont blow stuff up! or if you do, make sure you are out of the way, at least...

  • no, I will make sure that u 2 are in the way... then I will dance and play the trumpet.

What a glorious day it will be

  • A gas becomes a plasma when the addition of heat or other energy causes a significant number of atoms to release some or all of their electrons. The remaining parts of those atoms are left with a positive charge, and the detached negative electrons are free to move about. Those atoms and the resulting electrically charged gas are said to be "ionized." When enough atoms are ionized to significantly affect the electrical characteristics of the gas, it is a plasma.

  • heat is energy. anything that makes (enough) heat can turn a gas into a plasma

  • er... what?

  • add a tiny hole in the top, and you'll have a plasma needler. pwnage or pwnage?

  • a what? top of the glass?

  • why yes my son

  • but what is a plasma needler oh great master?

  • It's a weapon that fires thin, needle-like bolts of concentrated plasma, young grasshopper. You'll see it in the near-future, developed by Helios Ltd. My company. Expect such things as the photosonic repulsion-field generator, the starscraper/starport Babel and the MMORPG After Omega to come from Helios Ltd in the next 10 or 20 years. That is, if we survive the War of the Worlds in 2012.
