woopz it was DEFINITELY you hahaha, making mini bombs and electricity in our own backyard, forget solar panels, we can power the world with plasma balls, microwaves and GRAPES! >:D
ya. its not plasma in the sence of like acid like. plasma is neutrons being ripped apart off an atom and thats what happened. plasma isnt always destructive.
ok, youre a moron, plasma is partially ionized gas. when the electons fall back into the orbitals of the cations, they emit light radiation, which is what you see in the video. what youre describing is nuclear radiation....beta decay is an atom's nucleus losing a helium nucleus, two nuetrons and two protons.
wow...this video set up a way longer argument of "plasma vs. not plasma" than i ever thought. But NO, it is not plasma. Plasma can only be produced stablely at extremely high temperatures. not possible with a puny microwave.
Weak, try using a jar that's shaped as a sphere and set up the match or what ever your using at an angle. Try to get the plasma to spin around the jar to form a ball, when done right the plasma will stay in the center of the jar in the shape of a ball with out touching the glass. Keep up the science. Also I found cig butts work very well. With earth magnets you can do this with out a microwave to.
yep :D Just a high temperature ionized gas :) The most abundant element in the universe haha. Lol, I like your "mosh pit" of electrons metaphor, it suits plasma well :P
ohhh liki my speling? Look up Cryptology and you'll never call some one a dumb ass again for shiiiiitt liiiikkkeeee thiiizzzzz again. Infact you'll realize how fucking stuuuppiiiuidd you are. Just trying to help with Cryptology you can take control of peoples minds.......

"Taming Gravity" in Popular Mechanics Oct 1999 issue is a good place to start reading up on Dr. Ning Li and her A/C Gravity to see how we're beginning to apply the Bose Einstein Condensate phenomena to technology.
It's also easy reading for getting a hold of and an understanding of the basic phenomena.
Doing a search at the Popular Mechanics site for the article "Taming Gravity" should bring it up for you.

plasmas only an ionized gas wich anymetal can become at high enough tempatures so if you vaporized steel and radiated it it could posibly become plasma so ya it was plasma
dude technicaly this ain't plasma.you broght metal into the picture.plasma does not work with metal.all that is is hot gas from the metal.due to the heat.the reason why you got unstable plasma.use a match or a grape works best
no thats technocaly floresent lighting.plasma is a non metalic substance.add metal toplasma you have floresent light.unstable it it aint contained.the reason why they didn't get a full plasma ball.
what are you talking about? Plasma is a state of matter, like solid, liquid or gas. Theoretically, any metal could also become a plasma if the correct procedure were followed. Also, water is a non-metallic substance, but just by adding a paper clip, does that make it something else? no! I fail to see what physical or chemical reaction occurs when plasma is added to metal. And another thing, the metal wasn't added to the plasma, it was the source.
metal is not a source of plasma.plasma is eletricaly inclinded to absorb the eletric radiation.not if you break down a flouresent light you will find its a cold gas thats produced by moisture and metal and adding eletricity.this is flouresent gas not plasma.plasma is a gas that ignites from being super heated.flouresent is ignited from metal and moister.thus not plasma
no an eletrical current in gas is flouresent.plasma is a gas that creates its own eletrical current using smashing atoms and changing molicules.that is plasma what this is is floursent gas.the metal changes the gas to a lighter mass but heavyier density than plasma..........
search this.Microwave Plasma 2.this is real plasma see how it stays together?this plasma doesn't stay together its called flouresent.cold gas ignited by moistur and metal+eletricity
actually, i learned that it is in fact not plasma. When you heat up the metal, the microwaves free the delocalized electrons found in most metals. the ball of heat and light is a big cloud of free electrons reacting with the air. this produces a LOT of heat (sometimes the glass slightly melts on the inside) and light. the electrons also mess with the air and produce NO2, a poisonous gas. have fun! dont blow stuff up! or if you do, make sure you are out of the way, at least...
A gas becomes a plasma when the addition of heat or other energy causes a significant number of atoms to release some or all of their electrons. The remaining parts of those atoms are left with a positive charge, and the detached negative electrons are free to move about. Those atoms and the resulting electrically charged gas are said to be "ionized." When enough atoms are ionized to significantly affect the electrical characteristics of the gas, it is a plasma.
It's a weapon that fires thin, needle-like bolts of concentrated plasma, young grasshopper. You'll see it in the near-future, developed by Helios Ltd. My company. Expect such things as the photosonic repulsion-field generator, the starscraper/starport Babel and the MMORPG After Omega to come from Helios Ltd in the next 10 or 20 years. That is, if we survive the War of the Worlds in 2012.

You only need carbon. Try to use a graphit stick under a glas.
What burns is the carbon dust which gets excited from the microwave.
Use thin glas cause that wont burst when it gets hot. Or use glas with Borosilicate.
It is rather useless to experiment if you don`t understand what is going on...take some temp. messurements at least ;)

cause plasma get to about 1,000,000 degrees and beyond 3,000,000. so its not really plasma.

Plasma is not difficult to make. In fact, the temperature needed to obtain a plasma in air is far below 1000000 degrees. This IS plasma !!
