Open road if you live in good weather and have good knees, great way to destroy your legs and feet - treadmills are boring this would be perfect if you had it on the screen :-/

Treadmills might be flat, but you get over-heated inside with no wind factor and the machine forces you to run everything consistently at the same pace instead of running sporadically based on how you're feeling. Besides, you can increase the elevation on a treadmill to increase the difficulty.

@cpo335 I was just listing facts to prove that treadmill running is still legitimate. I don't think they suck....Running is just hard. There are ways to cope with the overheating when running on a treadmill - Just bring a bottle of water to drink. Plus on a treadmill you get that egostical notion that people are watching you which motivates you to push yourself harder.

@kevino999 Both ways should be combined. Although I really prefer running outside, the pavement can crush your knees no matter how good your running technique is, so treadmills are very helpful since they absorb the hit.

@Hayacafrita My shoes are about 55 euros, not from nike. Its about 70 dollar. These are quite nice, I have had them a while now. Good running shoes are always expensive (in my experience) that sucks a bit..

It sucks because just when the run is getting fun I begin to struggle a lot with the shoes... but the time will come. Meanwhile I keep training for my first 10K in october!

Nike didn't necessarily choose the song as a "pump up song", they chose it because Ok Go did a music video with this song while they danced on tredmills. So that's the theme, tredmills, becacuse that's what the guy is running on. That's why they chose the song, and for that, I think it's a GREAT commercial.

It's not necessarily dancing on treadmills, they just thought that the song (guys dancing on a tredmill) and the fact that the guy is running, and most people run on a tredmill they would sort of make a visual pun out of it. It's just supposed to be something funny. It's not a big deal, it's a commercial.

It's Ok Go - Here we Go Again. If you see the first couple seconds of the commercial or even the boards he is breaking through (PRESS PAUSE) and you can even SEE the song the jogger is playing. Plus OK GO is growing so big that it's almost all over the place. Commercials such as JC Penny's (older commercial and different song), FOX NETWORK - The OC (same song), PayLess Shoes. etc.
