It is comforting knowing that there are people out there who care about children with CP and the parents who support their children unconditionally. We just found out recently that our son has CP and we were devastated. I am currently educating myself about CP and watching this video has truly inspired me to look toward a bright future for my son.

I don't have CP nor do i know anybody who has CP. I was watching Josh BLue (from last comic standing on NBC) and searched for cp on youtube and came across this and I think these people helping these kids are awesome. In a world where humanity is almost extinct it is nice to know some people care enough to help the needy. props to these people.

You guys really are doing an amazing thing. I'm only 14 and I used to go to school with a girl who had CP and we became friends. It was so sad that people couldn't grasp the fact that people with CP are still human beings; that they have every same feeling in them as others do. I really appreciate what you guys do.

It's also known as conductive education, my son did this, it was very helpful.. I would recommend this.

When my little brother was an infant, the doctors told our parents to have him institutionalized. That he would never have any kind of normal life, would not even be able to attend school for disabled.

Well, he graduated from the same highschool as I did, special ed program of course.

I guess he showed them doctors!!!

My cousin and i both have a minor case of it as we walk a lot differently then everyone else and have problems with the fine motor skills such as writing and the fact that we tire easily

My son actually participated in this program for 2 sessions when he was younger and it was awesome. This type of therapy/education is light years ahead of what is done in the USA. One child went from being in a wheelchair to using crutches over the summer and he had been told he would NEVER be able to that. It is shameful this is not considered as a true therapy so insurance can cover the cost.

Good luck to you, I am a para-educator in a public school in Claremont, California where we are blessed to have a full time conductor along with an academic teacher. I've only been here a year, and I'm amazed at what Conductive Education along with assistive technology can do to improve the quality of life for these kids!!

beautiful job!! My baby probably has CP hemiplegia, left side, but weak CP, he moves his left arm and legs, but he doesn't hold toys using left hand by himself. He does, if I hold his right arm. His left leg is almost normal.

hmm i was was born with cp as well, fortunately for me the effects were not severe, as a kid i would walk unintentionally on the balls of my feet, it had to be corrected through wearing casks for months and leg braces years on later...good times....=/

I notice the how heavily edited this footage must be where we dont see these children protest, cry and scream at being forced to these "exercises". There is nothing normal about what CE do to these children in a pathetic attempt to "normalise" them!!! Just let them be kids, give them some respect and just love them for who they are!

Hi everybody,

This is a great movie!

It exactly shows what Conductive Education is. I already took part at the CPAC Summer Camp as an assistant and I really miss it here in Germany.

It's great to see the awesome kids doing such a great job and I really hope that CPAC can finally hire another conductor!

I am happy to come back to CPAC in spring 2007 and work with the kids again!
