The combat in origins is much more fluid and very very chaotic. It sort of doesn't even feel turn based anymore really. it's more innovative than the first one, but I don't like the story as much.

I thought the story was excellent and it didn't leave any plothole as far as I can see.

It had a couple of surprises.. I found the battle addictive and the battle-themen is by far my favourite... however I do like eternal wings and the lost ocean better. firstly because it was the first game.. and it didn't feel recycled at all, which origins did because they went back to former locations and in origins you really had to backtrack almost all the time which was painful

Yeah, thsi game was amazing. I personally prefer the battle system of Origins, I don't know, it seemed faster. Eternal Wings was just long and tiring <_< especially in the beginning. Eternal Wings had a better plot than Origins by far though.

Acually some ppl can have some problem getting into the game because they don't even try to when they hear abut the card based combat, but that acually works out very, very well! i totaly love it! If you play the game for some time, half of an hour or so, you will get hooked... at least I did and I think a lot of ppl have got too. This is the most beautiful game I have ever played and it will always be my favorite game of all time. It isn't just fun to play, you fall in love with it.

The problem is people hear the word "card" and they assume its one of those stupid yugioh things where people go LETS BATTLE and then sit at a table lol.

Too bad they didn't figure out that the card based system from BOTH games are faster than any other turn based rpg, especially from origins. Origins never stops, you don't even have time to look at the screen.

Eternal wings is a bit slower but a lot easier to grasp. Just hate the shuffling of the decks.

I always try to look on the deckmeter from time to time to see how many cards I got left, but sometimes I'm just too consentrated with what I'm doing so that I forgett it and everything goes to hell... Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit... But the bossfights in this game is so bloody hard so it helps keeping track of your cards there... xP

Ognar it appears luck-based, because the cards do come up at random, but you have complete contorl over what goes in your deck to begin with, so if you are skilled at making decks, you'll most often get what you need.

Plus there's an aspect of the game where if you answer certain questions throughout the game properly, sometimes the deck will rig itself in your favor because you're attuned to the main characters thoughts. It's actually quite deep.

Very interesting. I'm not too familiar with RPG card games, but I do have Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for GBA and I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Whereas people criticized the deck-making system, I never had a problem managing my cards after about 4 or 5 floors.

Some items get better with age too. I left my game one for a few days one time by accident, came back and had a lot of rotten magnus and a lot of developed magnus. I some of them were way stronger than they should have been for my level.

Do any of you ever wonder if it wasn't such a good idea to have "cute violins" playing on the regular True Mirror song? It's extremely nice music, but it doesn't quite say "Let's Fight" to me. Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia are two of the best games I've played, with some of the most beautiful music for all situations. But, for simply listening, Baten Kaitos is better. Shame it isn't that well-known, I think.

Do something with the "Chaotic Dance" songs! Those rule! (and on the AMV idea, perhaps you could mix multiple animes? For example, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, and Death Note? Perhaps you could get better results by mixing up several animes for the songs.)
