  • love the ka-bar

  • They've already passed laws like that here in Australia. Can't import anything that can be opened with one hand. Yet fixed blades are fine. How stupid.

  • mans first tool was the stick

  • @posso32 lol

  • CONTROL CONTROL CONTROL ///////// What a bunch of CRAP ..... CANNED GOODS, AMMO, YES A GOOD KNIFE.. PS DOINT store everything in one place... ( all your eggs in one basket) GOD BLESS AMERICA...:)

  • @couldhaveseenit I agree, i have ALOT of american friends but they are trigger happy and a half, it bothers me like the other day there was an american complaining about knives should be aloud in schools this one wants them on planes and there was one complaining that he got questioned when he had one in a KIDS park

  • Good point about those morons not even doing the jobs that they are supposed to be doing.

  • @couldhaveseenit I sure hope you aren't a Canadian, and say stupid shit like that. It seems that what happens in the USA, usually trickles up here to Canada. There is something about politicians everywhere, that have never had an original thought of their own, have to push Sh*t like that on us to justify their jobs. Sure makes me wish there was something else we could vote for.

  • In Germany these "one hand knives" are already illegal to carry. So I can't carry a one hand knive with a 3.35 inches. But a fixed blade up to 4.72 inches is legal. Stupid isn't it.

Whats the idea? Do they think: A murder will not kill his victim because he's not allowed to carry a knive? If weapons are outlawed only outlaws will have weapons!!! And knives are not even weapons, there are tools! Stupid politics, its the same all over the globe. "(Sorry for bad English)

  • we should arm ourselves with tooth picks ...wait... the next thing that might be illegal is tooth picks ..they take the guns now they take the knives ...

  • Good for you! As one who appreciates knives, hurting someone with one, (weaponry) is not on my radar screen. I also enjoy pocket watches and vintage fountain pens. I thrive on the technology and craftmanship in all three. Living in Canada, would i like to own a superbly made automatic? Yes. Why? See above.

Ironic, a hand sized $1.29 windshield ice scraper or a set of keys on a ring likely more of an weapon! Good grief, bureaucrats, smell reality! Stop being silly, leave people alone.

  • I hope they dont

  • lol! If you really think that just because you pester a politician he's going to suddenly become a sane human being, you are delusional.

  • totalitarianism coming to a city near you.

  • the government would ban sticks if someone hit someone with one.

  • @fearmehnoobs True but the point is they want to allow scum to bash our brains out at will without any sort of retaliation.

  • Nutnfancy's video is set to private.

Has American Customs the power to deny knives to people? Isn't that more of a thing for a law and not an agency?

  • wat hapend to the 2nd amendment uless they remove that witch they cant i dont think we have to worry about that

  • the worlds first knife was MADE FROM THE ROCK

    come on people

    i agree 100 precent

everytime i have to use my knife it is used mostly as a tool

  • 19 people use plastic pizza slicers.

  • One thing Politicians do very well is take away peoples rights .

Vote all those bastards out of office then they will listen .They let drugs in because it suits their purpose -- and that purpose is to keep on reducing your rights by increasing lawlessness.

    Think about it

If there are no criminals then their budgets would be reduced so they pick on law abiding citizens cus were easy to bully.

We obey these ridiculous laws made by weak minded morons .

    Good video

  • Dude love the vid's. But what is that thing moving around in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Is it a fan or something.

  • @MrJamesilongiii its a pengulem clock or a grandfather clock

  • @MrJamesilongiii Good eye man.

  • mans first tool was his penis

  • agreed. i like your collection on display behind you.

  • In MA it is illegal to own any automatic knife with two sharpened sides or any stiletto that can open and lock by it's self. That's some serious bullshit man.

  • ur gay suck a wank

  • Does anyone know what the verdict was on this issue?

  • Mans first tool was probably a rock...

  • @ian27293 hes talking about the first too that man made.

  • @ian27293 - Yea, but who's to say it wasn't a sharp rock? LOL

  • @TheSmokintbird the oldest tools found were round river stones that were used to trow at animals ether for hunting or defending. some of the earlyest human skeletons had riverstones (stones polished by a river or other water) very near by even tho they were found great distance from watersources meaning humans clearly picked them up an carryd them around to be used later.

  • @TheSmokintbird on a second note, sharp stones or primitive knives were the first man made tools ^^ but before me made tools we just found them :)

  • @ian27293 read my mind☺

  • this is stupid, havina a balisong is illegal in canada but harper waht to abolish the gun registration gun law. Seriously, someone paying 100$ for a balisong, will surely collect it or flip it. Someone that want to stab you can use any knifes and the are planty at canadian tire for low amount af money (below 10$) LOL.

  • @spezz01 ya am from sask and i owned a few balisongs my friends took and lost pissed me right off what i hate argueing with is my spring or hand assisted knives ARE ILLEGAL in witch there not oddly a lil dab of oil makes a hand assist open fast like a switch or an automatic and ppls freak out i wish folks knew there knives alot better then to say ITS A WEPAON

  • @spezz01 You are just uninformed! He wan't to scrap the LONG gun registry and there is nothing wrong with that, To get your PAL (Possession & Acquisition Licence) in Canada you have to go through a training and certification course and RCMP background checks, Because of all of those they find the long gun registry useless and unless your okay with your tax money funding even more useless bs it does not really matter!

    -MM

  • I agree 120%.

  • Government is currupted to the bone, i mean, im not into gangs or drug or anything like that, but i just love knives and i planing to get some blackmarket contacts to buy a Balisong. Laws are like Schools, It's illegal to have fun.

  • Man's first tool was not the knife .

  • @magnum9er quit being so anal.

  • @magnum9er It was a stick but that’s not the point

  • @magnum9er the rock was. the knife was the first good one...

  • @magnum9er Smart ass

  • @magnum9er it was the biface?

  • @magnum9er Maybe not, but it WILL be man's last tool when these laws come into effect.

  • @magnum9er ,I believe your missing the point that Sotch00 is clearly making , well atleast for most of us it's clear. Do NOT allow these jackasses in the gov't mess with our basic rights as Americans(Canada included)1000's of American troops are fighting and dieing all over the world for the rights of others

while we at home are still having our rights intruded upon by our own gov't! First they take our knives then our guns then tells us what to say and then how to think!

  • We have the right to bear arms. That means any weapon. We have the right to protect ourselves!

  • You call that a knife, this is a knife.

  • mans first tool was the stick dumb ass

  • @MALKinc

a stick is just a stick, a knive is a real tool. even if it is just a chipped flintstone, its a man made tool.

  • These people in power threaten our rights intern we spend our time and money to maintain them. I really wish the government would just take a year off and stop screwing with our lives.

  • We have whrights

    SO.......

    Just say FUCK THE POLICE

  • I think the point of assisted opening knives being useful tools needs to be emphasized. Being able to open a knife with one hand is a godsend in some professions where you're holding a package or piece of rope that needs to be cut with another hand. It is highly impractical to ban such a basic tool.

  • the world isnt ending next year...i feel stricter gov to come into change in the nxt 5 years

  • The first tool Man used was not a knife. It was a simple hammer made from stone. It took tens of thousands of years for Man to figure out how to make a sharp edge.

  • First off it's U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

  • for realz

  • In all honesty... While I love knives and have a collection of them and use them I don't think anybody can in their hearts can say that assisted opening knives aren't in basically switch blades. Sure you have to push a bit instead of just pushing a button, but it's the same concept (except maybe for closing).

I'm not talking about what I think about people being able to carry knives--- just making the distinction between what an assisted knife is in essence.

--- I'm talking about spring assist

  • beggining of taam

  • I love how you tripped up and said 'Con, house of representatives' !

  • ive used mine to deter a fist fight. guy was trying to pull a weapon on me when i threw him out of my store, pulled my kabar k2 tanto and he ran to the hills. orlando, fl

  • i subbed just for this vid i have a srydeco spring assist knife and made sure i wasnt ileagle

  • Mans first weapon was his fists

  • No one is going to take my espada xl !!!

  • i think man's first tool was the hammer aka a rock

  • in uk you can get criminal record for caring plastick knive

  • It's the same here in the UK. what governments want is for them to be armed and us the public, not to be.

  • I believe they are considering an assisted opening knife one that has a spring assist after the blade opens up past a certain point. I know park rangers in Missouri don't like them. I was turned away from the St Lois arch for having a Kershaw blur that I bought at Walmart. Makes no sense.

  • But.. I like knifes :(

  • Knives are common tools of humans, and the basic armaments (arms) of the person used for survival, food gathering, processing, defense, and until used maliciously, are a tool. Therefore, the right to carry a knife on the person, openly or concealed, shall not be infringed.

England has a knife law requiring the person to give cause to own a knife.

  • @XtremeCavalier When she travels alone, Sherlock.

  • Great, whats next butter knives? They gonna ban that too? !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • best thing would be to ban all personally owned weapons in the US! Silly and outdated the 2 nd amendement.

  • @BigRooster747, Read the US Constitution. Who are the "militia"?

We the People are the whole of the militia.

The militia is divided into "organized" and "unorganized" regardless of age, until mental incapacitance or death.

You are either in the organized militia, on active duty, or you are "unorganized" training and prepping yourself or others to serve on active duty.

Knives are arms protected under the 2nd Amendment.

Defend your rights or we all lose Liberty.

  • @sebastianguis ((==={}====> not working, it is not the tool as such but the circumstances in which the knife is/was found, so a screwdriver can also be classified as a weapon in certain circumstances.

  • Maybe they want u folks carrying a Swiss Army knife just like in Singapore or her neighbor. I've 6 such folders, bring 1 out i'll go to jail guaranteed.

  • I'm going on a camping trip from Canada to the US, and I'm having trouble with figuring out what type of knife I can legally bring over. Some Border Patrol guard told me on the phone that anything that can be opened with one hand is a "switchblade," and is prohibited. What the hell? If I try hard enough, I can open a Victorinox with one hand, so is that a prohibited weapon now? This shit is really getting out of hand. And I thought Canada's laws were bad. Ha!

  • Seems like your customs are as crazy as ours. Here they say if a folding knife can be opened using "centrifical force" it is classed as a flick knife. This is of course total BS, and the thing is they can do this without any law change, because it's a policy decision. Good luck in your fight, you don't want to end up in the mess we are already in. Suppport Knife Rights too, I wish we had something like that here.

  • Yeah CRKT! If only Benchmade had some sexier Hk knives

  • I'd like to find out the ruling, I've seen the nutnfancy video and his video now but they are both >30 days old. Whats the word? Am i a criminal now that i own a few CRKT's?

  • @Shepmatic

    No.

The Switchblade Knife Act was amended to specify that assisted and one hand opening knives are not considered automatic knives.

If you're interested in learning more about this and other pieces of knife legislation, please check out kniferights(dot)org.

  • 13 people who watched this video are Democrats

  • why is a switchblade so worse than any other pocket knife? so it flips out a couple milliseconds faster and makes a sound, so what?

  • wouldnt mans first tool be a rock? or stick?

  • wow the government is trying to controll us like a dog like were a piece of trash that the pisoners gotta pick up

  • i dont know wether to like or dislike? well i dislike that there tryin to ban knives and LIKE the fact we have people like you addressing this issue! thanks man i support you 110% !!!

  • have u done a review of that cold steel in the beggining? the second one you brought out

  • even in canada we've the same problem

last month i've been stop by a police officer and he tell me: i'm not right to posess

a Hand Assisted Folding knives. i explain to the officer i'm using this poket knise as a tool, scewdriver, the moral of this dial 911 and die THANKS

  • I agree that folding knifes that can be flipped open manually with one hand or finger should be made illegal, as this makes it easier for people who are willing to use the knife as a weapon to get the blade out. Instead, a folding knife should be only operable by using two hands, that way you still have the nice and compact blade and sheath combination only it is more difficult to operate.

  • @PaintSniffer07 and what about the people that NEED to be able to access their knives quickly? electricians and construction workers that have one hand on a their equipment but they need to make a cut? no these laws NEED to be left alone as they have been forever, this ridiculous law would not only be inconsequential on any form of public protection, it would also put good companies out of business.

  • @Sharingan221 I don't think it's severe enough to put people out of business friend. If electricians and construction workers need a knife that's easily accessible with one hand, they could just use a traditional blade with a sturdy scabbard to stop it falling out. I understand you wish to defend those that use the tools responsibly, but you cannot ignore that there will always be those that abuse them. And the harder we make it for people to abuse them, the easier it will be for the honest folk

  • @PaintSniffer07 its a slippery slope bud, if we ban those knives, lets ban all knives, kitchen knives are the most commonly used knives in stabbings, lets ban cars, they can be used as weapons, any form of chemical should be banned, guns, muzzleloaders, bows, motorcycles, electricity should be, these are all things that can kill as effectively, some more effectively, than a 3" folding knife, its unquestionably stupid to even consider banning a freaking knife

  • @Sharingan221 Calm down, noone is trying to take away all your tools. Don't you think you're taking this a little too far? It's a folding knife, there really is no need to have it other than its a clever way to sheath a blade and be able to open it single handedly, without needing a seperate scabbard. I've already given an example of a replacement knife that can be used instead, and I do believe that banning folding knives may have an effect on knife crime. I honestly don't see your problem.

  • u need to consult a doctor

  • dang say this infront of the customs not get sympathy from ppl around here in youtube.....

  • knives are a tool i think people should be able to carry them

  • what is the green knife? whats the name and brand???

  • they are treating knives like a box of grenades! i live in boston, and firearms control is so tight it is a joke. Might i also let you know, that Bostonians are afraid of snow, its true. 2 inches will send boston into a frenzy! so what makes them think that they have any right to make laws concerning my protection... just putting it out there.

  • @soschadao i guess their scared of anything bigger than their happy toy.

2 inches really, i lived in montreal for 5 years. 12 inches of snow, we still had school, infact, their would be an unplowed layer of snow 3 inches thick cause they cant plow fast enough, and they still go to work.

off topic, but ya. knife laws are just dumb.what does it matter how the blade is presented, how long it is, or if its double edge, or serrated. its still a blade, its still gonna cut.

  • HEY, DUMBASS THE BORDER PATROL HAS NO CONTROL OVER MAKING LAWS, ESPECIALLY LAWS REGARDING THE FEATURES THAT A KNIFE HAS. YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET YOUR STORY TOGETHER BEFORE YOU PUT THIS CRAP ON YOUTUBE. YOU ARE RIDICULOUS. OH AND BY THE WAY DONT SAY THAT THE BORDER PATROL IS NOT DOING THEIR JOB. WITHOUT THE BORDER PATROL I WOULDNT EVEN WANT TO LIVE IN THIS COUNTY. THINK ABOUT THAT IF THE BORDR PATROL SHUT DOWN EVEN FOR A WEEK, WHERE YOU WOULD BE!!!!!!

  • @MrThyenemy

He never said border patrol made laws. he said that judges take some ideas for laws from the border patrol. If you are gonna rag on someone get YOUR damn facts straight and stop telling him to get his straight.

  • @MrThyenemy lol rage much?

  • i got a spyder co leafstorm and a Kbar mini dozer.

  • @musicfreak8580 it depends... I think that every knife is legal to own but not carry...

  • @blowupuate13 what kind of knives you think you shouldn't carry, and why.

  • @copperjarhead switchblades and butterfly cause they are illegal to carry where i live... but you can still legally own ANY knife you want but you cannot carry certain ones like butterfly and switch in the state of Ohio

  • @blowupuate13 Ya, same here in PA. We can carry assisted, manual, fixed, blade length dont matter, but so help you if you carry switch, dagger, or (i think) butterfly. now the screwed up part is that we dont have preemption(wrong term or not idk) on knives like we do guns so basically every township can have their laws on knives. Knife laws here are also too vague. you can say it was worded so that anyone can make up their own interpretation and arrest you for it. Philly you cant carry at all.

  • @copperjarhead yeah but shouldn't state law override local law? that is weird i think Ohio knife law says something like every thing goes except for switchblade, butterfly, ballistic and (i think) sword.

  • Comment removed

  • Title 18 § 908. Prohibited offensive weapons.

"...dagger, knife, razor or cutting instrument, the blade of which is exposed in an automatic way by switch, push-button, spring mechanism, or otherwise, or other implement for the infliction of serious bodily injury which serves no common lawful purpose." vague. notice their is no mention of blade length, so by de facto you can carry a fixed blade combat knife i.e a ka-bar that they use in the army. but like i said, township laws vary, sadly.

  • @copperjarhead i would just follow state law and if you get in trouble with the law just say that you are following state law or something. but it just says for "serious bodily injury which serves no common lawful purpose" so then anything goes like Ohio except for daggers, switch, butterfly and probably sword. but then you have the separate local laws which makes it all go to hell! I say forget local and follow state. just try to follow your state law and you will be fine. or you can get a CCW

  • @blowupuate13 i thought about that, and am praticing it. personally i dont think cops would really give you too hard of a time, unless they are pushing a personal agenda. and for your second part, we dont have a CCW, we have a LTCF (License To Carry Firearms permit) so it does not protect knives, only conceal carry, transport, and open carry (for philly) of a firearm. (oc is legal in the state without LTCF except in city of the firts class i.e. philly) and even if it did, im still 19.

  • @copperjarhead well you could always go check with your local police station. but i doubt that a police officer will stop you unless you were intending to hurt or kill someone with your knife

  • Ok is this supposed to be some kind of gang control thing?!?!? If it is does any gang follow the law? This is such bullshit! Damn liberals

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure those knives were not assisted. Assisted knives are spring loaded so as soon as you begin to deploy the knife it snaps open. You had to completely follow through with both examples.

  • hey guys fuck the drug dealers/smugglers lets go bust the guys who carry pocket knives!!!!!!!!!!! -.- this is why the USA is not my favorite country.

  • I live in Michigan and double edged blades are illegal unless camping or hunting or misc outdoor activities.

Btw sootch. Tactical defender has been good to me especially with my last order. I have my Endura and I LOVE it. Saving up for a different knife now.

If a bill ever passes to bann guns or knives. I'll break the law, I'm not a criminal; the government will be.

Where I work doesn't permit carrying knives but I do anyway. People ask me "OMG! Is that a knife? Why do you have that!"

  • I can get a permit to carry a concealed handgun, but can't get a permit to carry an automatic knife here in Georgia. Stupidity. WTH does how fast you can open a knife have to do with whether it should be legal or not? If we want to crack down on gang violence, I'm sure there's a better way than making idiotic laws like that.

  • im with u on that

  • i live in nh and last year daggers and stiletto syle knives were made legal to own and carry

  • like 90 percent of this video is wrong ex. the knife was the first tool that is total bullshit

  • KABAR!!! this may sound stupid but is that legal to own? because I would love to own one but I'm not sure what the current law is towords the limitations of owning a knife?

  • hey are spring assisted knives illegal. are they considdered switch blades???

  • @quickfingersmagee1 hey txt me man i got a new phone and i aint got ur number

  • nnice knifes!!!!

  • Customs and Border Patrol confiscated my wife's dildo.

They claimed it was a "dangerous weapon" due to the length.

    The U.S. has gone crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mrblisterfist LUL your wife needs a dildo, THATS THE CRAZY PART! xD i'm just kidding btw :P

  • @Em0Dudee21 Only when she travels without me. I think the guys who took it were

"lonesome" ,if ya catch my drift. She said all four agents "couldn't have been more

eager to inspect and ogle in its splendor"......."wide-eyed and wolf-faced", she said.

Anyway, she had the episode published in the local newspaper's letter to the editor section.

After filing a request for return form, she was told it had been "lost" in evidence processing".

    Join the N.R.A., folks!!!!! :P

  • @mrblisterfist LMFAO!! that must have been a cool news article xD... floppy dildo's aren't anymore dangerous that my psp which i bring on every plane trip, i could use the screen as a razor sharp knife if i broke my psp and used the shards... creepy how it was "lost" ahahhaa... but dildo's are confiscated because they vibrate, bombs don't beep, they vibrate maybe it switch on... if you don't want it to get confiscated, you should get a chode or something (LOL) thats not long and dosen't vibrate.

  • @mrblisterfist LMAO If you are serious on this even funnier!!!

  • @mrblisterfist not to offend you bud, but you might have other issues in question here...

  • What I don't understand us why people feel the need to come on here and argue the point of the video and talk crap about others comments, if u don't care about the subject, go somewhere else, people need better hobbies, good video, old, but good

  • what is the bayonet behind your left ear (on the right side of his head beside its sheath) thanks for any help im looking to find out because i have one and know nothing about it.

  • first of all stone axe head was the first weapon and it you wanna argue about it a wooden spear by no means a knife....

i love the comment son here one idiot wrote "will be writing my senator and congressmen" idiot, sure he can never have enough toilet paper.

  • Preach on! I will be writing my senator and congressmen. We can't let them take away our hand assisted folding knives!!! Well, once these go we might as well go back to switch blades and butterfly knives. US government: stop meddling in our affairs and killing activities!

  • are stilleto switchblades illegal in indiana?

  • Same as here, there are so many more seriou things like drugs and asylum seekers coming into Australia but they pick on and make a big deal about things that cost time and money that doesnt effect anyone

  • They can kiss my ass. I won't stop carrying a knife.

  • why I think that this guy is funny???...it the way he is talking that has sth weird...am I the only one who think of this?

  • "Drug cartels shooting at American citizens? F*** with pocket knives, it just makes sense." It's an animal right to be able to defense one's self. How people think there is a debate and that we should see everyone's views is BS.

  • Good convincing argument! A law against knives is unenforceable, anyway, so who gives a flyin' f***?

  • Canada is even worse now, carrying a pocket knife gets u harassed and possibly confiscated......

  • @Taud they would confiscate me?

  • @pete5668 wow dumbshit much..... i dont teach special needs sorry....

  • @Taud well, you said that i could possibly be confiscated.

  • well i live on the border i guess its because a hand assisted blade is just as sharp as a switchblade and its sort of a loop hole if you wanted to kill a border patrol guard

  • Im finding it harder and harder to know that i am acting lawfully every day. Looking at federal, state, and city laws is very frustrating because it quickly becomes obvious that they are written as vague and "open to interpretation" as possible. What?

So, I'm going to carry a blade unless my laws say bluntly i cant. Because in my opinion US laws say what i cant do, not give me permission for what i can. But its sickening to know that a LEO could label me a criminal thinking that way.

  • maybe the border patrol should worry more about the drugs then people carrying knives...i mean are they that afraid of us?they have guns anyway.smh.

  • Clearly, the masses don't care about the law since knife sales are at a all time high. I own extra large knives, and handguns I would rather go to jail for protecting all that is precious to me than have a criminal take that away. These politicians walk around with security officers 24 hours a day, and want to have a police ran state with unarmed citizens.

  • Its deeper than that, the authority of customs and the border patrol go inland up to 100 miles from the border, it's called the constitution free zone.

  • You dont want to come to the UK, we have nothing to defend ourselves with it's like everything is a crime, they will introduce thought crimes next.

  • i like this guy, and agree 100% of what he is saying...another example of big government, trying to make a socialist nation....

how is that "change" working for ALL the fools who voted for obama??

  • Hey man I just wanted to say thanks for all you do, sometimes the uneducated of our society make make fun of us or do childish name calling. But in the end we'll survive and they'll still be whining and waiting for a handout from the government.

I really do appreciate it man, I've gotten lot's of good ideas from you. Thanks brother.

  • who cares 75% of the people that have a knife dont have the balls to stab someone and 100% of people that carry knifes are pussys

  • They fixed the law so any blade with a bias to close cannot be considered a switchblade. This include spring assisted knives. Bias to close is essentially when you close your blade and it snaps shut on it's own and isn't held there with a latch. Of course your local laws could be different as local laws don't always seem to match federal laws, so spring assisted knives, knives with blades over 3", etc. could still be illegal where you live.

  • The first tool was prolly a rock ya fuck

  • K-bar is top notch!!

  • so i never really heard anything so im gonna go out on a limb and assume it didn't get over turned ?

  • @azxgffff I've tried to find more info but it's very vague. My U.S. Congressman said it was aimed at imported knives particularly. The regulations get so conplicated, it's hard to interpret. If I find out more I'll post an annotation. Thanks~

  • @sootch00 I rlly need your help. Im going to the US this summer and i want to buy 3 machetes and bring them back to my country. But i don`t seem to find anything abouth the machetes. Do you know anything abouth if it is legal to bring to the airport or not?

  • if this gets passed im gonna carry a kukri or a ka bar
