I wish I meet this man at least once in my life. What a great man. Simply amazing.

Singing in a different language is not easy, but he makes it look effortless. Such is his command over the art.

On a side note, I think marathi language is well suited for carnatic singing. I only wish there more ppl writing songs in marathi suited for carnatic song!!!!!

Great Great Great Great Great, I am not getting to praise Vidwan Arun's taking along with him the devotees by asking them sing Vittal Vittal in chorus. What he said was totally right, we are all living in a materialistic world and nothing is permanent. And that we are not singing classical music, but is divine classical music. The rendering is very good & the prounounciation is exact as though sung by a maharashtrian, altough Shri Arun is a captivating tamilian.

Devotion or bhakti directly attacks our ego. For rasikas who are used to just being passive listeners during the Marghazhi Mahotsavam concerts, it is a tall order to bring themselves to sing along bhajans with the main artiste. May be next time, the audience will loosen up and be more responsive.
