They were so far ahead of EVERY other rock band in the 60s, it wasn't even fair. When they came out no one had ever heard of a rock band that wrote their own songs and played their own instruments. Then as their songwriting progressed they wrote more mature, philosophical, deeper meaning lyrics and far more intricate chord structure, timing, and arrangements. When Ticket to Ride came out Elvis was doing movies about carnivals and hay rides. The Beatles put every 60s artist out of business.

That whole Paul is dead, and the clues, were all a facade. And I used to watch Paul in the early 60's as well as later, and nobody could be that identical. Unless identical twins.
