You could just make these systems yourself. It's amazing how much money people would spend for systems ( even tents ) when for a fraction of the cost, construct one yourself and customize it to your needs.. Still, the convenience factor is nice too

Just add on a homemade carbon filter via exhaust outlet and raise your ballast off the damn ground, you should be fine. But like already was saying, it's nice for the convenience factor and quite a good looking setup. I would just build my own. Saves money for nutrients

Have you ever heard of a carbon air scrubber? Well it actually makes the smell of ANYTHING even cow manure and rotting deer carcass disspate. Weed smell is nothing for a proper carbon air filter. One good thing about the electronic digital ballast that came out recently is that they do not use coils. That alone combined with a built in cooling fan, it's virtually fireproof and 30% cheaper on your electric! And your lamps last longer! ALSO: Flourescent T5 High Output = Good Fireproof alternative!
