Many people have to work jobs that don't allow anywhere near this kind of clothing, which isn't so bad as you can wear smart for work and your "real" clothes for personal life, but the same can't be said for permanent things like piercings or tattoos in visible places - if you want that well-paying job you can't get the tattoo, etc. Professional ideals suck. :(
