The Torque Command automatic transmission (which replaced the Flash-O-Matic, a Borg-Warner design which really was the weakest link on early AMCs) was the Chrysler TorqueFlite, which was darn near bulletproof! Torque Command debuted with the 1965 models, if I recall correctly...
