According to their website, the famous optic manufacturer Kahles claims to have made one of the first variable power rifle scopes in 1949, quite a few years after the end of the war.
I'm curious if anyone else made a dedicated, variable power rifle scope before them. Even if they did, I highly doubt any were used in the war.

@WarSquirrel09 I thought you might ask; wwwgooglecom/patents?vid=696788. It's not a dedicated rifle scope, and i never said scope before. However this is the same technology and it could have been mounted on a rifle by someone (an elite sniper or his armorer) who had access to the right tools.

I loved Sniper Elite in the past it had a great graphic and gameplay for its time and a good storyline. Lets see if this one is great like the older one, though im not so hopeful because it seems it focused for console platform -_-

Sniper Elite is not a FPS..its a 3rd person game..only sniper view is 1st person. And it will come out on pc..just like the last one.

sniper elite was and is probably one of the best war games ever according to me...great that they do a sequel to that game..i still play it on my old xbox love to snipe and make head shot from 1000 m away..
