  • it should come with a flint and steel as well as nato matches.

  • @iknowitism - with a firesteel there is no need for matches, but I do recommend them (as well as a Bic) in survival kits

  • My survival wallet based on credit card sized items might be of interest. The Maxpedition gear I show it in are optional. Here is the sped up version but links in the instruction field below the video will provide the normal version and more. Search YouTube for:

  • You live long enough and you see everything.

    Great product(s). Great review.

Will have to add it to my store and get one for myself as well.

  • Cool kit.

  • Very inspirational video - thanks for bringing to our attention.

  • The kevlar cord can also be used to saw through flexi-cuffs.

  • Add a fresnel lens

  • I purchased the Mini Survival kit Wallet. The hand cuff key does not work on real handcuffs.

  • needs a flash bang. and a fake beard...and a ballistic knife. then itd be perfect

  • how much does it cost?

  • @sikadnerz - You have to search around for the best prices. they are not for sale (right now) directly from ESEE.

  • is this legal?! omfg xD

  • Survival kit wallet... Great idea! Good points on the magnet effects on the compass. I hear that in the military, you're supposed to be 50 feet or more away from a vehicle and such to take your readings. Not exactly practical during mounted operations, I suppose.

That floss card is interesting. Lots of uses. I think hygiene in general is often overlooked in survival situations. Some of us overlook them right now LOL!

  • I went to the site but could not find a place to buy one and how much would one cost I watched the video 2 times and you did not say how much it was unless I missed it as I am disabled .

  • I might need to get this someday. I like how its compact and you can just throw it into your pocket

  • You should really try to do these type of reviews as tabletop. This way small things are too tiny and distant, and it's more relevant to see the details and hear your annotation then to look at you throughout entire video and to spend half of time trying to figure out what are you showing us.

  • @plavenote - I don't do table top reviews for a reason. 1. I provide a link to the site with photos and/or lists of parts. 2. Table Top reviews seem so impersonal (because you don't see anyone) and you have a tendency to just read the details of the product, so it tends to be like any other review. 3. until I get prosthetic's later in the year, there is a tendency to be distracted when the video is a tight table top closeup.

  • @weaponeer I understand, and I think you're doing a good job but, tabletops don't have to be impersonal if you put your self in them. Furthermore, they can be much more informative. For example, when you were explaining possible uses of the things inside this kit, you could demonstrate. And it's much more useful if it's up close. There are videos when it's desirable to see you. Like when you're shooting or using some item. But with small things, tabletop is just better. Just try and see.

  • This video cost me $60.00! I had to buy this kit!

    Good review!

  • @hoshnasi - where did you get yours?

  • @weaponeer - KnifeCenter. However I am looking to pick up more for family. Do you have a recomendation on retailer?

  • @hoshnasi - I have been looking around for the lowest prices, and yours was the lowest I have seen so far

  • that is cool

  • Nice!

  • thats all "pretty gadgety". kool stuff but not for a real guy. get a little more basic.. a great survival technique is to envision yourself naked outside. now think about the bare minimum you need.......and build on that....good work i enjoy your videos...

  • @DUGTRUX Hey, for the record this is primarly an E&E kit. E&E tools are inherently different from typical survival tools. Perhaps thats why it feels gadgety to you. It certainly is for a real guy. Any real guy who travels to hostile locations. The muslim world where angry locals want to cut off your head or Central American rebels and drug cartels, even sailors traveling around the horn of Africa and so on. E&E isn't for everyone, but the need is there for many of us.

  • @Defiant14 - Agree
