I first met and played with him in '83 (when I was 21 years old) playing Sophisticated Ladies and he blew my mind........not only could he play the crap out of the lead book and his jazz book but it seemed he knew something about ANYTHING you could think of.......he SO many diverse interest......I've never known ANYONE like him....... RIP Barrie........I'm glad I got a chance to be around you and know you.
Barrie, my mother wanted me to play a wind instrument. I am glad I did not listen to her this time, ortherwise I would not be able to enjoy your artistry. Keep hornin' it big brother.
