  • Which one is which, I am just discovering this, I listen to choking victem and leftover crack a ton though... man it's so hard to find new punk bands when you get older (I'm 29). Not as many friends that listen to it anymore, so no one to tell me about a new album that rocks. IM DIGGIN THE HELL OUT OF THIS!

  • yeah sure dude!!! first we are going to sing some stuff already made... by Flaming Tsunamis and Streetlight Manifesto perhaps?? then we will play at our local ska festival once every month... then we will see where we will go from there

  • @jerseyboy1212 consistency

  • @jerseyboy1212 if u have a horn section don't overdo the horns. and don't steal my bands idea of making crusty ska with harmonica playing melodies alot

  • @jerseyboy1212 the more random instruments the better and get a fucked up singer and good bass player

  • @jerseyboy1212 i got some tips: study the forefathers of ska and punk before fucking with ska punk. that way ur ska sounds authentic and the punk sounds authentic. it just takes lots of listening to the skatalites for ska, and lots of listening to bad brains and the ramones and such for punk and then blend the genres. good luck

  • @AtheistAnarchoRudi thanks for the advice nuub. Now go do your homework.

  • @TheManolakis fuck all forms of homework.

  • @AtheistAnarchoRudi i wish i could fuck you up so bad for even MENTIONING the ramones

  • @wolhayomg your entitled to your own opinion, but those kind of social values are EXTREMELY similar to the social values governments have. "i wish i could fuck you up".... how cool of you

  • @AtheistAnarchoRudi governments dont wish anything. governments say i am going to fuck you up and you are going to wave a flag and enjoy every minute of it. dont just read wikipedia, ask yourself what pop punk has to do at all with morning glory. the ramones were basically good charlotte of the 70s. happy upbeat bubblegum punk with nothing to say. all the ramones did was popularize punk rock fashion. there is nothing crude or raw about them.

  • @wolhayomg HELL YEAH!!! YOUR SOOOO PUNK BECAUSE YOU DEFINE WHAT PUNK IS! its honestly a laugh how you are saying morning glory have no pop punk elements... they are one of THE poppiest hardcore bands i know. i know this not through just pure sound, but through music theory. and the ramones did not popularize punk your thinking of THE SEX PISTOLS.

  • @AtheistAnarchoRudi by the way that crap about me being so punk because i define what punk is, then you go on to define what pop punk is the very next sentence? we all have our ideas of what defines a genre and there is no exact science to it. i could probably slap together an argument that black flag was a reggae band if i wanted to. arguing about what bands are what genres is about as effective as arguing which band is better than the other. also.. music theory? really man? come on now.

  • @wolhayomg yes from a music theory perspective this music is poppy(heres what i mean): lots of major sounds rather than minor sounds. Its really catchy chord progressions at hyper speeds. its not that thats a bad thing, i like super fast happy-chord progression punk music,

  • @wolhayomg the ramones only RECENTLY became the least bit big. Not to mention they hardly ever made money there whole career, and were one of the frst to play the modern incarnation of punk, not to mention they DID have extremely important messages "have fun, theres nothing to do in this meaningless city, joke music, and even extremely political music. like this track: watch?v=OZaDhN9gWHw

  • @wolhayomg what i meant by your acting like the government is your being an authoritarian internet douche who is threatening an (empty) violent attack via youtube... i dont really care what you call the ramones, they are one of my favorite bands, ive been listening to them since i was 5, and they influenced soo much of music hate em or love em(the clash said they would have no starting point if it wasnt for the ramones).

  • @wolhayomg anyways your social values are stuck within this society, you should consider attempting to transcend the bullshit around us. i know its hard, considering how much our environment shapes us. all i am trying to say, is there is no reason to be upset, to hurt people, to talk about hurting people, to trash the ramones. i was giving this guy advice because i play ska/punk and a good way to get good at both is to study our founding fathers.

  • @AtheistAnarchoRudi my problem with the ramones is they get way too much credit, when shit like the new york dolls, stooges, stranglers, 101ers, ect ect actually had much more to do with shaping things. it was a half joke dude you ever been in a circle? i expect to come home from a show fucked up. anger does not equate to totalitarianism. i was merely voicing my opinion about how i think the ramones are overrated. nothing wrong at all with liking any kind of music. just exchanging ideas

  • @wolhayomg i rarely ever get hurt in the circle, i hate any form of over violence in circle pits as most people do. circle pits get me that feeling i had wen i was a little kid and just ran the mile, i feel wiped out, but rarely hurt. i get that it was a half joke i was just hoping people can transcend all those stupid social values(especially on this page). the way you voiced it was authoritarian "im gonna beat you up" kind of bullshit we dont need anymore of that in this world.

  • @wolhayomg i understand your intentions when saying what you said were different than i interpreted. those kind of jokes are not funny to me bc that is what the government does on a macrocosmic scale. your right about punk sound before the ramones, but before all those bands there wer tons of anti folk/folk that influenced them, and then tons of blues that influenced them etc etc etc. which is why the blues is "punk". jazz? as punk as it gets. wen studying punk guitar johnny ramone isa goodstart

  • @wolhayomg hahaha holy shit u actually just talked shit on the ramones. Without the ramones you wouldnt have any of this....

  • @zosothedestroyer beethoven invented punk rock go home and eat a cock

  • @wolhayomg keep trollin' bro

  • Actually doesn't sound too hard
