Nice song - if you like or miss Ohio. I've only seen it from the highway and it didn't look nuttin like this sounds....But you gotta write about something, right?
If you love incredible songwriting like this, then check out this band from Tennessee called Seraplane. I'm trying to help spread the word for these guys, so if you get the chance search them on youtube and give them a listen!
Need a little extra cash? I just made a blog explaining the way I make a little extra on the side for doing NOTHING, and letting the computer work for you.
If you liked this song, why not check out 'Deadmans Gun' by Ashtar Command. It features on the game Red Dead Redemption, and has a similar feel. At first I didn't like the song
I just recommended, but after a couple of listens it has majorly grown on me.
Part of what I love about this song is that these folks are going to Ohio. Somewhere completely plain and uninteresting. The goal is to get to Ohio. Some will make it and some won't.
@brelfan Went to college there. There was Toledo. You could get some chocolate and falafel. The one interesting thing about Ohio is that some Jewish guy accepting payola 50 or 60 year ago was the first to play Rock N Roll on radio listened to by white people. Other than that, steak houses. Flat grounds. You coud get Greek food if you went to Michigan.
I pledge to buy this album CD and not to dload it from the internets ;) Support the smaller bands! ( although I'll bet these guys can reach far, if they haven't already :) Amazing harmonies.
@gunthaarz I think you're right. We have to stand up for the few making real music. I'll buy Oh, My God, Charlie Darwin. Going to buy O Ye Devesator from Doug Burr. Going to buy a Josh Ritter album. Going to buy an old album from an Irish folks singer called Paul Brady. And one more, I'm forgetting. Point is, only a few seem to take music and lyrics seriously, and they've got to make a few bucks too.
