@TyFlyFilms the tylde key looks like this ~ and its in the upper left corner of the keyboard usually. You'll need to turn on the console first though in your game settings.

@Thebigdoublek From what I've heard it should. But I don't have that version so I do not know for sure. I would look it up on google to make sure but there is no reason it shouldn't. The installation will probably be a little different though.

@Vend1cator91 Thats what i explained in the video. Set up all of your settings before starting the mod. Start the mod, then just type into the console the map u want. So, "/map mp_tatooine", and by typing that your basically clicking "start new server"

@RisenHolymordCZ hard to say what the problem is. Did you change anything, add any knew maps? The only solution i can think of is to re-install.

maybe you forget to talk about the .idw file you have to put into the galactic warfare folder (each correcponding to the map you'll play for exemple for tatooine : application/Callofduty4 data/Mods/swm_01/tatooine.iwd ).

When I type /map mp_..... the map starts to load than the game quits out.

@rigler796 If it crashes when the map is loading then it sounds like there is something wrong with the files. Either one is missing or more likely one of them is corrupt. You can double check your install but im guessing if you re-download it and install it again (make sure you overwrite your old files) then that will possibly fix it. May not but assuming its a file issue it should.

for tatooine map for ex : tatooine.iwd

in your swm_01 folder.

@jackafa92 They probably changed the names of some of the files. I made this back when it was in beta 4 (04B). So as long as it has all the correct files your fine. Just looks for the file types if some of the names are different.

@jackafa92 Should be a join game button on the menu. Make sure when ur searching for servers u turn mods to yes in the filter. Im sure if you google search it you could get a few server ips for this mod.

@yarcheeds Well, you'll probably have to put all the files in the correct folders but I don't own the app store version so i'm not sure. But it does work.

@haloman180 Yes, it works on the app store version. The setup might be slightly different though since all of the files are probably compiled into one app file. To open it though all you have to do is right click on it and choose show package contents and the file setup should be the same then.

@UberNoober519 Why not wait till MW3 engine come out and then make the mod....Makes it worth alot more with an upgraded engine. If using MW Engine it would cost 14USD as a DLC if using MW3 Upraded Engine it would cost like 30USD.

If its not showing up in the mods folder then it can only be a few things. Either its in the wrong folders, or the files are corrupted. Also make sure you're running the most current version, 1.7 i believe.

@Elekks Yes thats the key. It shouldn't make a difference that you downloaded it from the app store. Check that you have it enabled. Go to options - game options - console enabled = yes

@GL1TCH3R123 I'm fairly certain any of the baseline mac laptops will run COD4. I have a MacBook Pro that runs it well. Those start at $1200. The MacBooks should run it as well and they start at $1000, but for only 200 dollars more I would just go with the MacBook Pro. You do not need steam to play online on a mac, unless of course you are playing a steam game.

@aaronv420 Sorry for the delayed reply. I cant think of anything simple you could do and punk buster shouldnt affect your ability to see the mods folder. Are you running the most current version of COD? I think its like 1.7 or something. I assume that the actual game runs fine on a macbook air? (i've never tried gaming on one so im not sure how it handles).

Make sure to keep the mod.ff file in the mods folder, only the .ff files for the maps should go in the zone/english folder.

Hmm ok I just got a mac so may be me but i put the files latest release 08b in teh same folders you did but when I launch COD and start a new server and try to start the mod nothing shows up in the mod folder I re-downloaded but not working Its just black for me and doesnt show any mods to load even though its in the mods folder in same structure as your vid? If its not letting you put it in the mods folder then check your folder permissions and make sure your logged in as the administrator or the user that installed the game.

@dtnlawrence It should be showing up as long as the mod is in the mods folder so I'm not sure. Is your game at 1.7 or whatever the highest version is? That's all I can think of. I would double check the file placement and if it still isn't working I would delete all of the mod files and re-download it and install it again. Might fix it.

I did what you said, but it isn't working. One It wont show the wallpaper(Like the wallpaper it shows when it loads the mod). Two i tried it with the version you used and the newest version and neither worked. Three when i tried loading the map the way you did and still nothing worked, so please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

@1Boss1Distarli Ok, that only happens when the map that's being loaded doesn't exist (or the file may be corrupted, (unlikely)). So double check that the files are in the right spots (ALL of the .ff files need to be in the zone/english folder, EXCEPT FOR mod.ff leave it with everything else in the mod folder) and check that you're typing it right. The map names are

mp_bestine

mp_cloud_city

mp_not_a_cave

mp_tatooine

@Adrianachew1 Alright i know what happened on the second part. Because the game crashed it's asking u if u want to run in safe mode which changes the graphic settings. Just open up the game and go to options and change the video mode back to what it was set to along with the other graphic settings. As for starting the mod it sounds like something isnt in the correct folder or is missing, double check that you have everything right.(miss spelling the map name when starting will NOT make it crash)
