Some of you think that the reason Isaac looked at Ellie is because of the eyepatch but theres another thing... But first of all lets get on with the eyepatch first. If you could review the video log, the video log was faced on Isaac not on the player. And there could be 2 reasons why Isaac looked at Ellie.
1. Isaac looked at her cause of her bruises, Isaac thinks that anytime Ellie would become a necrolyte.

take it's ammo.
If you are in the final boss with no ammo you can try a save,

@tubernerny the marker is more of an absorbant of the necromorph disease. When the necromorphs get within a certain distance, they can not let the marker start working

Ok so this is only my opinion in the ending...
Some of you think that the reason Isaac looked at Ellie is because of the eyepatch but theres another thing... But first of all lets get on with the eyepatch first. If you could review the video log, the video log was faced on Isaac not on the player. And there could be 2 reasons why Isaac looked at Ellie.
1. Isaac looked at her cause of her bruises, Isaac thinks that anytime Ellie would become a necrolyte.

@silveradoz33 2. Isaac looked at Ellie because of the Dead Space 1 incident. Which is when Isaac was all alone in the evac ship and when he turned left he saw the ghost of her girlfriend.

@silveradoz33 What the hell i wasn't arguing i said the makers of the game were purposely being smart asses by making the ending almost the same as the first game So don't call me an ass hole and i was talking about his right it was our left but his right that's what i meant god thought i could actually say this in a normal way but i guess not
