flight got so boring i HAD to do rolls just to keep myself amused. with this 40 year old .45 engine with 11x6 prop i went into a hover about 100 feet in the air and my first hover i actually pulled it off and if you have a .46 or .45 on a ucd 46, dont hover it unless it's a VERY powerful engine because i tried hovering it again and the plane stalled and the engine almost stalled too and i almost crashed.
i heard somebody say a .55 would be great for that.
It's a fun plane, all right. I've got an OS 70 Surpass in mine, and it's a little lacking in power. But with a 91, it will be a blast. Make sure you don't go full throttle on level flight, though --- the control surfaces are quite big and thus susceptible to flutter. Have fun with your UCD!
Hi , is this a good and fun plane to fly .. I,m looking into buying one 65 wingspan from great planes and I already have a os 91 surpass... Should I go with it or my second choice is a big stick ... thanks for answer
Hey!
That's my plan for the upcoming season as well. Putting skis on my ucd 46 I mean.
Did you just use skis on the front wheels and no ski on the tail whell?
I was thinking of using the Dubro skis for 40 to 60 size planes.
Ser fint ut!

@rayrsa
Dubro skis (40–60-size) were used on this model, no ski on the tail wheel.
Det fungerade hur bra som helst!
