Shawn, thanks for the time and effort to make this insightful video. I enjoy hearing the self reflections and how by changing, the world around us may change as well.
I suggest that what allows for such mental and emotional changes is in part the social transition, but ALSO the various forms of medical transition. And of course the first medical one is typical the homonal one. So I think at least the blocking of male testro and taking female hormones accounts for some of your experiences.
I was intrigued by your remark about your feet having changed. In what way did they change? I have heard only one transwoman say something about feet and that was that she had to get new workshoes because her feet had shrunk (there are muscles there too after all).
@NaomiClareNL The changes were subtle but still quite noticeable. They are still big ( :) ) but they completely softened in appearance. Veins, tendons, etc. have all almost disappeared.
I was just thinking as I was listening to your story about all the various stages one must arrive at along this pathway to wholeness. Just because YOU are at a certain point along the continuum, u also must consider that other people, like friends, coworkers, family members, must also travel along this pathway, and jt can get sticky when u are at one point and others are at a different point. Does this make sense? Great patience (and time) is needed on both sides. My best to u!
Thank you for your sharing these unexpected findings. I was both expecting there to be a change in emotion and thought but never expected it to be as profound.
(continuing) so don't mind about what 'they' say... you're getting what and where you want, they probably are dealing with their issues in life unsuccessfully (poor souls!)... you know It takes boldness to face life. Thanks for your videos, they are truly a very very helpful resource for boys and girls like us... and for people in general who want to know how to address (do and don't's, I mean) trans people. Warm kisses and keep going ahead, you're very charming, competent and pretty!!
@sirenefatale Thank you very much for the kind words and encouragement. I think it is so cool to know that there is someone far across the world who took the time to watch my video and send me a message. Just what I joined this forum for!
Hi, darling! I was watching your video and loved it. I'm also transitioning and I know how hard it is sometimes and also the emotions... well, what I have sincerely to say, apart from a slight hint with your voice (which is not a big issue), you look ABSOLUTELY & AMAZINGLY feminine... you are ready (physically) to be a 101% passable woman, be sure of that...
I probably know 30 people locally who are on HRT and the times I have heard are anywhere from 4 weeks to 1 year.
I had switched to a new therapist and I had seen her about 15 sessions. I dont think there is a standard that prevents you from getting hormones based on therapy time.
Youngest person I know who started HRT was 15. She went through over a year of counseling before starting I think. I would expect a 15 year old to be required to go through more counseling but that is just a guess. Their parents would also have to be supportive.
You are very fortunate to have supportive parents. I have no way to know how long it will take you - not even an educated guess. But you are already way ahead of the curve on this. Consider yourself very lucky to be able to deal with this so early in your life.
hi..i like ur video and i'm a Trangender MTF currently 2 month HRT..around that..and about game that u play just for u know spending some times..well for me when i'm playing game i will forgot everything about me..just dont care about things that surrounding me which make me feel good...but recently i dont really play much..mayb it does not work for me anymore ^^
forget about the dood thing- rise above it- sometimes if you show it matters, the more it comes, if anyone ever does that to me (and at the moment quite alot) then I just smile, nicely, not sarcastically, sarcasm will just bring it on more. kill them with kindness. in a short time they realise how stupid they sound.
Thanks for the comment! I used to get sir'd all the time and it never bothered me. It doesn't happen much these days but the reason this one got under my skin is that someone who was using feminine pronouns and had never known me as boy changed to male pronouns. It made me think that there was a conversation with coworkers where they weren't showing me respect. And I do realize that there is alot of speculation in the above statement...
