This was written by Gary Numan in 1978 and was released as a single in 1979 and also appeared on his second album 'Replicas'. In fact Bowie was an utter prick to Gary backstage at a tv show once, even though he had once said Bowie was his favorite musician. @err0r Manson DID NOT write this song. Check out Numan's album Replicas, from 1978, it's on there. In my opinion, we wouldn't have Manson or NIN or many others without Numan's barrier breaking innovative sounds that he continues to achieve today.
