i'm not shocked to find out that ub40 aren't the original artists of the song Kingston Town. Sure i love ub40's version of the song, but i just can't be offended by Paris supposedly ripping off a song that didnt even belong to them in the first place. Lord Creator is Kingston Towns original artist as far as i can tell.

Now I love Kingston Town, but come on. The syncopated rhythm is fairly common in pop music. Also when you play the two songs together, it made my ears hurt.
Also, as Billy Joel and Paul McCartney said in interviews, no one has written a 100% original song. All songs contain something from something else, no matter how small.
