  • nice! Im 15, and can throw my darts (pvc :() out of my atlatl (a chopped, wittled branch) about half and half at a turkey tarket....im sure if i had some good darts, and a better thrower, I'd be dead on 9/10, those kids are amazing, nice to see good parenting:)

  • Man that tool take's alot of practice.

  • @blackfeatherarchery Yes it does. But it's not that hard to learn. The oldest boy in the video, which is now almost 13, placed 5th in the world in the World Atlatl Association for 2010. Youth division.

  • @ATLDART Now that is awesome.

  • @ATLDART Thats cool, in 2010 I placed 6th in the World Atlatl Association at Letchworth. I don't think that is Marlin in that video, but Marlin was only 8 at the time and he beat me :P

  • That looks like a ton o fun! Good skills to have too! Thats a fine shelter too BTW!

  • These kids will be ready when peak oil hits.

  • hey nativenewyorkguy ur an assholl

if u hate hunting so much then y are u lookin it up on youtube? thats rite retard let people raise there children the way they want . btw thats great that ur teachin ur kids how to hunt :)

  • @NativeNewYorkGuy - deservedly so. Insulting someone's children's deserves such. Primitive hunting may not be your bag, but that doesn't change it's worth. Teach your kids what's important to you; let others teach theirs that which is important to them.

  • Okay, sounds like a deal!

  • @NativeNewYorkGuy the kids are having fun. there is no need to be an asshole. Learn some respect for others.

  • @SaintsRule84 Thank you (on behalf of those boys)

  • @C24B9 No problem, only a 3 years ago I learned how cruel people to be to other and how bad it feels. I was treated like dirt so now when I see someone else doing it to someone it's time to say something.

  • @NativeNewYorkGuy u didnt notice that was a 3d deer? Maybe they wont go hunting for real..

  • @NativeNewYorkGuy lol I agree, and I live in Virginia... lots of hunters here. Killing because you enjoy it is WRONG. Killing for sport is WRONG. Teaching children that killing is fun is HORRIBLE!!! Killing to survive gets a thumbs up for me though. Never too young to learn how to survive, its a necessary skill as a human being. I don't have a problem with practicing on dummies though. Go ahead, just don't go around killing innocent animals for fun. People who do this should be executed.

  • Nice Hooch!

    Good Shooting!

  • im just like that still :DD awesome child hood memories

  • Good shot young man

  • Hi Boys! Uncle Lawence here. Great job on video and getting that deer. I look forward to our next outing.

    Be Good!

  • great video 5/5

  • Let's go get our dinner. You're raising them right. Nice to see big brother helping the younger one get up.

  • Good to see kids still out having fun in the woods. Reminds me of my brother and I when we were growing up. Those were some of the most memorable times of my childhood.

  • lol looks like fun

  • You don't have to be a kid to have fun out in the woods. I'm 15 but I know that even though many adults don't realize it, they don't have to lose their sense of fun and imagination when they grow older. These kids should be an example for adults to follow.

  • lol i remember being little like that and pretending i was hunting out in the woods those where good times

  • What fun your kids have! I'm just reading the book "Last Child in the Woods" about the nature-deficit of modern children, so delighted to see them out there experiencing it all. Good job!
