i do this and it takes me between 150 - 250 turms but i train my characters to lvl 16 - 18

How are they healing every turn?

Priest's mend/heal/psysic staves heal them at the start of every turn, and the boss heals because he's on a throne.

Why does the affect of Glare remind me of Beldo from being able to turn your units into stone?

Beldo turns u to stone but it can be removed by a staff i think

Glare is permanent until the chapter's end
