You are right the stuff she sings as Hannah Montana is written for her. However she DOES write her own stuff that she sings under her name. Don't confuse the character with the real person. I just learned, by doing a 4 page paper in my musicology, and a 2 page paper in my music appreciation class, and I have learned that Thom Yorke was not helped by the band on the album, however, one band member and their producer, (Johnny Greenwood and Nigel Godrich) helped with chord progressions and the production. However, the album was made by Thom Yorke mostly alone.
Jonny co-wrote the title track and 'and it rained all night' is a reformatted version of the gloaming whilst black swan has samples from Ed and Phil meaning the only member not noted to have contributed is Colin. Even Yorke himself tried to never deem it a solo album.
Yeah I am sure that Johnny Greenwood helped out in a few places. I guess it was all written by Thom though and I guess that is why its called a solo album to them...
all of the members have done stuff outside of Radiohead. Jonny Greenwood for example composes for the BBC, and did the soundtracks to Bodysong and There Will Be Blood (the latter of which he nearly got an oscar nomination, but was passed over due to a technicality) They've never broke up though and there's talk of another album in the works. So I'd say they still like eachother.
In the music industry she IS NOTHING, MEANS NOTHING and HAS DONE NOTHING. You can have hits, sure, you can top the charts as well BUTcan you really be considered as a worthy contribution to the music industry now or in the future? NO.
