very smart guy...i was thinking WHAT ABOUT THE WHEEL CHAIR?and he just poped it on the side....i was like WHAT???SO SIMPLE AND PRACTICAL?THAT SURE DIDNT PASS MY MIND...bravo sir....really nice done...
I suffered an accident 15 yeas ago and only 2 years ago I finally had to give up biking, but I need to get off my arse and do something like this... Unfortunately, money is not happening as I am unable to work anymore... I need to find a job I can do, but in the UK its bloody hard unless I am a blind lesbian muslim immigrant
@FatRakoon Haha, you can get something like it on motability now they have 1300cc bmw engines and a ramp up the back so you dont have to get out of your chair.
If he ever gets tired of that thing, I'll be more than happy to take it off his hands(Just kidding). I've been wanting a Trike since I went to Bike Week in Laconia, NH a few years back. I have Spina Bifida(L4-L5 para) and the Trike seems the best way for me to ride a motorcycle.
It's nice to see other wheelchair users enjoying their play toys. Nice bike and video. I'm also a Quadriplegic that loves to ride my bike. Feel free to take a look at my first video. It was shot with a helmet cam.
Actually Alan designed that chair years ago, before he designed the EasyStand stander. He designed it so he could fit through narrow doorways... as you can see it also works well for folding up to put on your trike! Other companies make similar chairs now, but Altimate Medical only sold that chair for a short time.
Alan is indeed a C6-C7 quad, his injury is incomplete so he has more arm strength then a typical quadriplegic with a complete injury. He usually calls himself a "capable quad" for this reason.
You are such a great inspiration to many others!!

Alan I just found a trike like this and was wondering what you use to lock the rear wheel in to the foot tub?

there is no way this guy is c6-c7. he has too much lower body movement and arm movement. my guess is somewhere around t5-t6.
