@AtzengamerMemphis not true at all. Yes the rotaries make more power, but they are completely different cars. RX7's are quite heavy for what they are but have a decent weight balance. Ive seen a 13B swap into a miata which made it technically mid engined and had a lower Center of gravity. It will smoke an RX7 in every way, unless you want to play "who has the bigger turbo"

@hernandadmx FB 2300-2500lbs, FC 2600-3070lbs, FD 2830lbs. I consider that porky for a japanese sports car with a small 13B engine. NA miata are around 2100-2300 depending on 1.6 or 1.8 and options. Dont get me wrong theyre great cars, just a bit porky for my tastes. Rx7's and especially MX5's are known for whooping more powerful and expensive cars on the track, with a good driver.

I don't know, go to speedventures website and take a look at the race results which usually include several Miatas running along with many Porsche, BMW, Corvettes, Vipers, Skyline GT-R, and hell, there is even some Honda Civics in there once in a while. Don't see any Talons or Eclipses though...

@mncreek I like to drag more than crazy curvy roads anyways, we only have a handful of crazy roads round here. My car handles em well enough, the AWD with complete coil over suspension, dropped significantly gives me mad grip around corners. So wouldnt be too hard keeping up. Maybe little bit cause it's so light and nimble but i still wouldnt worry too much.

@yfz450rider39 A miata is a perfect candidate for drifting, it's light, so it doesn't need that much power to get sideways. Being that it's light it can switch from corner to corner easily. It's an FR so it has a balanced body, the cab is towards the rear, so that along with the rear drivetrain balance out the car nicely. You can't just judge a car by it's looks and names. learn about the car before you make a call on it.
