  • The Japanese government subsidies the automakers healthcare. That's one of the large factors the made American automakers go broke. just sayin.

  • I like Japanese trucks. I dont like ford and I refuse to buy vehicles from companies that need govt bail outs to survive.

  • I have a 2009 Fronty CC and love it! 94000 trouble free miles so far despite being sideswiped by a pimp-mobile. Does everything I need it to with little complaints. As for the Tacoma being a little "bigger and beefier", well it does have alot plastic too.

  • How about.... a turbo charged diesel?

  • @ jonasj98, I test drove the 2012 Frontier Pro 4X yesterday because I had the same question. VERY SMOOTH RIDE. I currently drive a 2008 Frontier 2WD and the ride on the 2012 Pro 4X was smoother.

  • Does the Pro X4 package make any of these vehicles less comfortable on road?

  • tacoma or frontier whats your pick?

  • @dpuck05 ....both very good trucks, comes down to personal tastes.

  • There's diesel because that will kill the oil industry. It s all about money and screwing the consumers...

  • This was pretty lame.. Nissan is bringing a 4 cyl diesel to the market in the Gen 2 Titan... And Why does the US get no diesel love? Ask Cali smog standards why? They have such low off base standards now that the rest of the 49 states suffer.. Just wait till you see a Frontier with that new cummings : Its coming...

  • i just hope they dont replace these like they are replacing the suvs with crossovers.

  • If VW can get 42 mpg from their Passat TDI, Nissan could probably get 30 mpg for the Frontier, but then it might not have the power needed for 4WD?

  • they actually do have a 2.5 turbo diesel 4 cylinder....too bad it isn't in the US

  • @alafura227 hahaha

  • i totally agree with the powerplant point. the community has been talking about it for EVER! why hasn't anyone experimented with a turbo 4 or turbo 4 diesel?! it obviously works everywhere else in the world. at least toyota offers supercharger packages for those who want a midsize every day driver with the power and size of a weekend warrior

  • Hi...I'm looking for an HD video camcorder camera. I like what I see. Could you provide info on the camera you used for this video. Thanks.

  • @Green2011Leaf Cannon Vixia

  • I'd like to see a hydrid using that sweet v6 and an electric motor

  • Titan and Frontier will be all new next year

  • All Pickups are still Body on Frame except the Ridge line. Body on Frame is what you want for towing, a unit body vehicle can be just as good off road, but lacks the strength for heavy towing.

  • The tacoma and the frontier are within 1" of each other in almost every dimention.I had a tacoma ordered, but once I drove the nissan ,it was no contest. To toyota's credit, they happily refunded my deposit and I purchased the 05 6spd 4Lfrontier.Similarly equipped, there was a 3$ difference between the nissan and toyota.I love trouncing my buddies in their gas guzzling full size hemi's etc.I get 26 mpg overall, and take it to redline every time I drive it.It's got 200k.Peace

  • nice truck but im gonna stick with AMERICAN trucks

  • That might be fine if you drive it like a car. I've watched videos of those before and yea they're nice. Just everybody I know want a traditional v8 truck. I get made fun of sometimes just for driving a foregin truck lol well sorry for sharing my dumb opinions with you lol nice video by the way. I own a 2011 frontier pro-4x and they really are sweet trucks. Mine will get through anything

  • Trucks have been the same for 30 years because that's the way people want them. If you want fuel efficient go buy a 4 cylinder car not a truck. A 4 cylinder supercharged truck? Really? Lol

  • @JRTFrontier FYI: The new Ford F-150 Twin Turbo Charged EcoBoost is now out-selling the more traditional V8 F-150. It seems that people (even truck people) want a smaller more fuel efficient turbo charged truck...just saying.

  • IF you live in the Northern States don't buy any vehicle with Fully boxed frames.

Fully boxed frame = Rust buckets in Snow + Salt.

Also, the reason they use fully boxed is because they can use thinner steel for the same strength.

Thinner steel + No way for snow + Salt to drain/dry = BIG trouble.

C frames dry better and use thicker steel, which is why they are used in Fire Trucks, Cement Trucks, Dump Trucks. etc etc etc.

  • I got a 07 frontier i love it with all my heart but burn to much gas... :( how about a disel ingine? Ill buy one :)

  • @THEREXALMIGHTY 3.0 V6 diesel engine is much better, I think, 231HP is enough and it burns only 10 l/100km. Get one! It's really good truck!

  • this is'nt proper off roading ! its Called driving in a muddy road

  • My Pro-4X---Metallic Blue crew cab WITH THE STICK!!---will be built the second week of November. Woohoo!

  • wheres the pathfinder?

  • does nissan use a pushrod v8 like chevy and dodge?

  • @6SpeedSilverado no one knows?

  • @6SpeedSilverado VK56DE engine is a 5,552 cc 5.6 liters V8 with 98 mm bore, 92 mm stroke, 9.8 compression ratio, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder. Hope that helps

  • @romanmicagearguy We both truly love cars and that's a bond that can keep us entertained on even the longest of road trips. Nathan has some great stories from his days working at a junk yard that I love to hear. So yea...we gets along off camera the same way you see us in camera.

  • you guys have some great videos! my only question is do you get along as well when the camera's aren't rolling?

  • I drive the frontier, (known as the navara here in England). 2.5 turbo diesel, trip computer showing 33.2mpg and I've only driven it around town. There is a 3 litre v6 diesel available, but general reviews seem to say its pointless because the normal 2.5 has so much power. They won't sell the 2.5 stateside though until they believe the American consumer will buy it, and with your love for big engines, nissan probably think you won't.

  • PLEASE Nissan...bring diesel trucks to the US! Trucks like the Frontier don't really make any sense when full-sized trucks can get better gas millage.

  • F150

    Is

    By no means better.

  • this is one of ur good few reviews i like and i like it !

and thts how a review should b which is talkin bout disadvantages !

  • The Titan Pro-4x is a great truck. Problem is, the F-150 FX4 is better in every single way. The Nissan is just dated.

The Friontier is a great truck. I just always notice the high price that can venture in to full size territory of every mid size turck. The not so great MPGs compared to a full size. Also Nissans 4.0 V6 just gets rougher as the years go on.

  • Diesel, we want them in cars too. Vehicles identincal to those sold in the US, sold in other countries, even sometimes produced on the same assembly line have diesels. Fuel consumption would drop considerably and people would have more money to spend on other things.
