In my opinion, in the first aria the Queen has to be maternal and sweet to Tamino (she has to "lure" him, isn't it ^^?), so I think this performance suits well to the role. In the second aria, yes, you're right, she has to be more wicked, but Dessay is, don't you think so?

her diction is quite clear and easy to understand

A lot of talent but inadequate technique.

The voice is already unsteady on many pitches, shrill in other places. I can't actually hear many of the notes she is supposed to be singing. She fails to honor her technique and as a result, she is messing up the performance and her career.
